As an aspiring singer, I've been listening to a lot from these guys. I was just wondering who do you think is the best one out of this list, in your opinion(s)?

On that list, I chose Russell Allen...

I was voting in terms of "best", so I voted for JLB.
As far as my personal fave of these goes: Joacim Cans/Timo K (TIE)!

well, the list is almost exclusively populated of singers who don't much do anything for me, lol...I guess Kiske but he can get irritating and he is a little samey too much of the time...ok, I could say that about everyone there..the only ones I ever really enjoy much are Kiske and Allen.

Chris Cornell from that list but my fav singers are Ian Gillan, Jim Morrison, Bon Scott, and Dio

But Timo Kotipelto and Tony Kakko aren't too far behind.

I actually like every singer on here - with the exception of Chris Cornell (who I cannot stand).

Good list, arguements could be made for all of them.

Crabby, but that's is a great list.

Zak Stevens is my favorite but of those Allen Lande is the best. He is as awesome live as he is in studio. Tied with Jorn Lande, they are the two best vocalists in metal IMO.

Went with Joacim Cans. Disappointed that Wayne Newton was left off of that list.

Eric Adams (and he's got the balls to pursue classical HAHAHA - what other metal singer can claim THAT?? (besides Tarja that is ... then again - she was never into metal in the first place. Eric Adams is a HUGE FREEKING METAL fan!)



BONO (and yes, HE CAN SING!!! Though not a metalhead himself, he has inspired many a metal singer. Even Believer was heavily into U2. Enough to cover one of their songs.)




DAVE GAHAN (say what you want about Depeche Mode. Mock them. Jeer them. But know this. If it weren't for this band and it's extreme experimental way - industrial music as we know it - would be a completely different animal. With enough balls to try something new (mixing pop and new wave with experimental sounds), they started a legion of fans on a mission to revolutionize music as we knew it ... and it was forever changed.

Dave Gahan stands on the tip of the iceberg of bands of this ilk - and their vocalists. Best synthpop singer ever (but followed not too behind would be Erasure's Andy Bell).

Tate on every Queensrÿche recording in the 80's is so untouchable it's ridiculous..

Nils is very, very good, one of my favorite 'newer' vocalists..

Eric Adams has always been a huge favorite of mine, but his band is a different story..
