| I mean, what is the very first Hard-Rock or Metal band that has really taken you, and It has made you to get appasionate into this genre?? And how do you discovered this band??
For example, for me the very first Metal band that I liked very much was Megadeth (still one of my favorites), many years ago one my old friend has put in my presence in his Cd player the album "Countdown To Extiction", and from that day I was being a Metal fan! Some days later that day I bought my first Megadeth Cd "Killing is my busyness..." that liked me very much, and later I get their discography...
Then I discovered band like Motorhead, Danzig, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Overkill, Judas Priest, Manowar, and you can Imagine the rest!

| Either Kiss or Rush.
My best friend in grade school was in the Kiss Army and he loaned me some Kiss albums as well as Fly By Night. I was blown away by both.

Early Rush rules!
Caress of Steel, Fly By Night and 2112 are a trio of albums back to back to back that few bands can match IMO.

when I was a freshman I read a article in revolver about the reissue of battalions of fear and follow the blind. I loved the cover art and soon became addicted to the music. |

Me either man! I've said it before and I'll say it again, 2112 is one of my 5 "desert island discs". You know the drill; if you were stranded on a desert island, which 5 albums would you want with you?
2112 is at the top of the list for me!

It would be in my top 5 too! I don't listed it in my "favourite classics Metal albums" cause I don't know for his times, but that album sound more Hard-Rock than Metal to me!.... However excellent album! No matter if Hard-Rock or Metal it is! |

| As someone who was alive when 2112 was released (  ), at the time, they were considered "metal".
And not to ignore Stender up there, if Blind Guardian had been the first metal band I heard, I'd be hooked too. I really like BG up until A Night At The Opera when they started getting "too progressive".

My father and I would be going to the store or something and he would put on Pyromania and I was blown away.
From there on it was Priest,Metallica,Megadeth,Sabbath..etc

Imaginations from the other side is ranked pretty high for me also. I havent yet heard twist in the myth, been meaning to get that one.
As for Locky's choice, I havent listened to much Europe so I cant really agree with you bro. |

If people are basing their opinion of Queen on anything after News Of The World, they are making a big mistake IMO.

I'll agree with that.
First band? It's kind of fuzzy at this point. My mother had a lot of albums that I would listen to. Queen - News of The World was one, Foghat - Stone Blue was another. She even had some KISS best of I think..... Then there were bands I heard of from an older friend like Rez, Stronghold, Daniel Band.....
First Rock and Roll record that I called my own was Barnabas - Hear The Light 1979. i guess I'll just stick with that one...... |

| The first band I ever listened to was Def Leppard. They meant a lot to me at the time I started listening to them that was around 82-83ish. I was too young to buy their albums but I loved their videos and listening to the songs on the radio. Then when I got a little older my mom would buy me the tapes. It was all I would listen to. Well I shouldnt say that, I had a thing about the monkees too but Def Leppard was the real deal. If they had Def Leppard underwear I would have had them I was that obsessed. I remember when I thought I had all their tapes and then I came across on through the night and I really wanted it but my mom wouldnt get cause it was too much money I guess because it was sort of a rare thing back in '87. So a kid I was friends with at the time ended up having it and I damn near begged him to either let me borrow it or make me a copy and he refused to do either. Needless to say we stopped being friends and ive held that grudge against him since. haha
After Def Leppard started to fadded out around the time steve clark died a friend of mine turned me onto helloween starting with keepers 2 and since then they have been my favorite band and also a band that inspires me to play music because I hope to be able to achieve what they have over the years. |

| KISS was the first hard rock band I ever heard as a kid in the late 70s, but the first album I ever owned was AC/DC's LET THERE BE ROCK. So it's a tie between those two for me.

| Judas Priest & Motorhead (along with the Scorpions, Van Halen & Sabbath) were in my fathers record collection, so as a kid i got into them. Priest & Motorhead were the two first for me, because their album covers looked cool.
