| | Just wandering if any of you are Astral Doors fans and if you know them and what you think of them. Astral Doors to Dio as Krokus to AC/DC if you don't know em. |

| I like them!
I like everything their singer Patrik Johansson is involved in.
Espesially Wuthering Heights!!
He is now also singing in Lions Share on their new album out just now.
The only problem with Astral Doors is that they are almost a copy of Dio, but a good copy. |

Wuthering Heights-Far From The Madding Crowd, GREAT GREAT folk inspired Power Metal, one of my all time favourite albums:metal: 
and:
Astral Doors- Evil is Forever, Killer classic metal/hard rock in the Dio, Rainbow, Sabbat vein. |

And yes Wuthering Heights is definitely in my top five all time also.
I have all their albums, and their two latest are so great I can`t find words to describe them!!! |

| Astral Doors-New Revelation is an awesome metal disc and has made me want to check out Wuthering Heights. The Dio comparisson is dead on, especiall in the song Cold War Survivor, in the chorus I almost thougt it Dio himself.

He's like Dio on Red Bull. His style is much more energetic. But his tone sometimes is just dead-on.

| Astral Doors is better than almost any Dio album. Patrick Johannson does definitely sound like Dio but the songwriting is better IMO. His work with Wuthering Heights is much less Dio-esque however.

I love Dio...but besides Holy Diver and Last In Line I might have to agree with this. Dio is still putting out quality stuff in my opinion, but Astral Doors trumps it with more energy and newer ideas. Sort of like what Airbourne is doing with/to AC/DC.

| He sounds something like Coverdale in Wuthering Heights. To me, he's total Dio worship in Astral Doors.
