Cross - METAL FROM ABOVE CD

Just wondering if anyone out there is familiar with this long-lost 80s Christian Metal band? They were from Alberquerque (did I spell that right) and METAL FROM ABOVE is their 1986 demo tape pressed to CD by Steel Legacy Records in Greece. (with a few bonus live songs added) The sound quality is a little rough (but not bad considering it's a 21-year-old demo tape), but it's pretty good stuff, very similar to Maiden and Fates Warning. The packaging is very nice, excellent cover art (see below), full lyrics, and a short essay on the band's history by Dave Muttillo (of WHITE THRONE and POWERLINE magazine fame). I'm familiar with them. I would love to have this on CD. Is it available yet? I've heard that people who pre-ordered it are still waiting.

I got mine from Stormspell Records (http://www.stormspell.com ) last week, so he's got'em in stock right now!

He may not have added them to his site since he told me he only had a "small amount of copies" but I'm sure you can find his contact info on the site at least.

The CD is a limited edition of 1000, but since I dunno how many Iordan at Stormspell has, you might wanna act fast!

I can't believe I'm saying this - but I've never heard of em. I was big time into the christian metal scene at the the time and I thought I knew every band. A Maiden/Fates Warning sound? sounds good - anyoen got a link to the myspace page?

I've ordered from ya many times, and nothing but excellent service every time! My last order was for Bifrost, Gama Bomb, and Mactep (Master).

Been trying to get these guys over to your sight to order that Gama Bomb disc! With it being a limited press, and a really speed / thrash band besides, that thing isn't going to be around for long!!

Yeah, I believe Cheryl pressed only 1000 Gama Bombs. I'm not sure how good it has been selling at her end, will ask next time I trade with her (which should be very soon as I need some of the Pyovelli CDs she put out).

I'm way overdue on the site update, been burning candle from both ends recently with no spare time for anything else. Hope to make one big update soon with tons of $6.99 sale titles to clean up some space. I'll get into gear on that soon coz I'm heading to Europe for the summer as usual and can use all extra cash I can get Smile

I remember Cross from back in the day. I can't remember if I reviewed them for White Throne or not. Unfortunatley my stash of issues that I have are not in the easiest place of accessability.... Sad

I keep thinking I've heard 'em but I don't remember. There were a lot of tapes coming into the Throne back then.

I tried to play the mp3's but kept getting error messages... Sad

... I pretty blown away that someone is actually releasing this on cd....

I have one issue of White Throne, the issue with Larry Farkas on the
cover. Classic cover! Great issue. Almost had Larry sign it while I was
in Once Dead but had already had him sign all sorts of stuff and was
beginning to feel silly asking him to sign so much stuff. LOL! What can
I say, I might have been in the band but I was still a big 'ol fanboy.

It's amazing that these guys didn't get signed. But due to oversaturation, alot of these good bands fell through the cracks.
