Give me a break.
Some people will defend anything especially if it was put out my a big, otherwise popular band. This was put to the test on their last album, and it was proven true.

But we're going to have to sift through their hate when this album drops. Why? Why even bother listening to it? Sure. There are those that will defend anything a band does. But there is also the exact opposite to those people. No problem there.
It makes those of us in the middle seem much cooler than we really are.

Agreed. Haters wanna hate. More than any other rock bands, I think Metallica and KISS are the two bands where no matter what, some supposed "fan" will claim that they suck. Metallica could create a new Master of Puppets and you'd see more people saying it blows than people praising it. Makes you wonder when and if these people were ever fans at all.
I also think you're right about this album NOT being another St. Anger. Metallica knows they screwed up on that one, they've even admitted so, which earns my respect. There's even a video of Lars on YouTube making fun of it.

| Yeah, it didn't even have half the energy and "rockingness" of their classics. The songs were way too long and it sounded like Adrian wrote the whole album. It didn't have any of Harris' style in there that I could hear. Bruce was singing pretty much the whole thing in one octave. It didn't sound like MAIDEN and even as a new band it didn't sound good.
Not even close to their "Master of Puppets".
Once again, if it didn't have IRON MAIDEN stamped on it no one would care about it. Same thing with STANGER.

If it's as bad as St. Anger, that's a valid complaint. I felt ripped off and I never bought St. Anger! Haha.

| Honestly, I went into these samples with a clear head, but they just didnt do much for me. Sounds like Justice a bit, better than anything they've done in years, but Im still not convinced.

Surely I'm not going to waste my time finding examples of something you'll just deny no matter what. Just like now that I've said this you'll take it as some sort of victory. The fact remains that there are countless examples of bands releasing killer albums that get slagged off simply because they've fallen out of favor with those so-called fans.
