I think is great band and like 95% of the bands that get mentioned here at Heart of Metal, you need to see this guys live to get the complete picture, I can see why Eyesore and others might feel some of it is filler ( ambient noises and whatnot that litter there albums) but I don't, I think it adds to the over all atmosphere and mood to the album.
Maybe the're this generation heavier version of Pink Floyd, IMO I think they are one of the best bands that came out of the 90's and it is nice to see a band make it successfully under their own terms.

Tool is amazing. Amazing music, amazin sound, amazing live..... Very unique and that's rare these days. People either love them, or don't care for them. I love 'em. I would imagine they are pretty great while tripping on acid too, but I have never taken acid, so I wouldn't know, only speculating..... Smile

I have 1000 days and laterus and I only like about 3-4 songs off of each, they just never could do too much for me though, the pot is one kicking track

Meh, as much as I love prog as well as alt, I never was willing to invest the time that this band seems to require to be appreciated. Too much other good stuff out there for me to bother I guess.
