| | Anyone see it, just came back from watching it. Pretty cool movie, gory as hell. The queen rocked the politician guy (who didn't see it coming). |

| Looks awesome. Does anyone know that its based on the Battle of Thermopalye(I believe) and that it has to do with ancient Greece? It's based on a supposedly true story! Just thought I'd bring it up. _________________ |

| Do not expect much. I have yet to see it, but I saw people whining about it on another forum. Here is how the graphic novel goes:
1. The Persians are coming. 2. The Spartans deny them their demands. 3. Big battle. 4. The end.
That's it. Nothing more. Some people jumped on the hype bandwagon, and were let down. Just know what you're getting into first. A cheesy, campy, COMIC BOOK adaptation of a BATTLE, not a story. Reviews seem to average on a B for the score. Sounds good to me. _________________ "Happy people have no stories." —Therapy?

You're somewhat correct. It is based on that battle, but obviously it really wasn't 300 against 1 million. That battle would have lasted 10 seconds in real life. Haha. _________________ "Happy people have no stories." —Therapy?

| This film is very unrealistic but very action packed. I think the real battle were around 2,000 greeks (including some athenians who peaced out) vs like 100,000 - 200,000 Persians, the movie just exaggerated like crazy. |

That did. Not the movie. _________________ "Happy people have no stories." —Therapy?

| Take it for what it is, folks. If you're looking for a history lesson, look elsewhere. People that are not familiar with Frank Miller probably have no clue as to his style and, as such, miss out on a lot of what he was doing, especially if they haven't read the graphic novel yet.
