| Do you still get that feeling of, "wow that's an awesome song"? When I discovered Mercyful Fate in 1987, I heard "The Oath" and was BLOWN AWAY! Despite the lyrical subject matter, that is still one of my favorite songs and I just got that same feeling I did when I first heard it when I played it. Great stuff!
Are you too jaded to get that feeling as an adult?
Just wondering....

| I'm not too jaded. I got that feeling the first time I heard "Ghost Division" off the new Sabaton album. I also got that feeling the first time I heard most of "Butcher's Ballroom" by Diablo Swing Orchestra. _________________ "There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer |

| Not at all. "The Oath" and "Phantom Of The Opera" both still give me that feeling today. Among others. _________________ www.deathbythrash.com

| Yea, I can relate.
Warrior Soul's SALUTATIONS FROM THE GHETTO NATION still makes me wanna break stuff after all these years, and Love/Hate's BLACKOUT IN THE RED ROOM makes me wish I still smoked weed. _________________

| The Oath is an awesome song. I think the lyrics make me like it even more just because at the time that was a ballsy thing to write about. It still gives me chills listening to that track especially the intro its eeeeeeeeeeeeevil |

| | If I ever get too jaded to enjoy music I'm just gonna pack it in. It's about the only thing I'm not jaded about. Sure I'm jaded about the business and the personalities in music; but the music itself can transcend all that I think. Forever I hope. |

| It's very rare and special when music is so immediate like that, alot of the times you go 'yeah this is good' but it takes another 5 or so listen's to really get it and enjoy it but a few songs that are still as powerful now as they were the first time i heard them are......
SEARCH & DESTROY by Iggy & The Stooges, SONIC REDUCER by The Dead Boys, LOVE DESTRUCTION by Warrior Soul and UNSATISFIED by the Replacements.
Mind you i heard those songs for the first time like 5 years ago, i'm not old but i'm jaded though. _________________ "...Those tunes ain't an entertainment, their a way to be..."

| I still get that feeling. I can still get it from the old classics like MERCYFUL FATE as well. _________________ TEMPLE OF BLOOD - Intense PowerThrash with Biblical lyrics http://www.templeofblood.net http://www.myspace.com/templeofblood

| Priest's Painkiller albuma and Dio's Holy Diver get me emotionally motivated at certain points. And some prog metal stuff too like Dream Theater's Train of Thought and Symphony X's The Odyssey. God, I love that feeling. |

| I got that feeling the first time I heard "New Age of Terror". It was kind of a "Hell, there may be a chance for "new" music yet"! And, of course, there have been hundreds of great old school releases ever siince. _________________ UNCLE SAXON'S CRAZY CD SELLOFF! |

| | I don't know that I get all warm & fuzzy when I hear certain songs anymore, but I've been listening to a lot more blues music these days and some of the playing I hear sends shivers down my spine. Or it could be the malaria coming back. Either way, it's a nice sensation. |
