Ok I was at FYE earlier today and found some metal cds that looked interesting but didnt know who they were. Now I wanted to look up this band to see what they sounded like but I completely forgot the name. It looked like an older band and they were signed to Metal Blade at the time. The bands name began with an S and the album title had something to do with a soulder. Any ideas? The cover of the album I believe was black with a shadow of a soldier on the front.

I dunno, was Loudness "Soldier of Fortune" originally on Metal Blade? It's a Wounded Bird re-issue now. Great album anyway if you like melodic.

Actually found the video on you tube. Doesnt sound too bad. The vocals remind me a little bit of Believer. I might go and pick this up tomorrow if its still there.

Sorry, I don't like this band at all. I tried listening to them again the other day, I didn't like them back in the day and it hasn't grown on me at all. Their guitar riffs sound so generic and stock to me. They have a heavy tone but to me they play generic riffs/drum beats/vocals with a good production. As far as Canadian thrash goes, I think ANNIHILATOR's first two discs blows their stuff out of the water.

Just my two cents.
