What did you think of that one, Mortuary?

BTW, I'm a Romero freak and you owe it to yourself to pick up The Crazies.

I love Romero as well. I LOVE ZOMBIES!
As for Land of the Dead, it was decent. It's a better recent film than some of these other ones coming out. It's Romero, come on!
I'm more for the old Romero films, honestly.
What's your take on it?
I'll see if I can pick up The Crazies.
Thanks.

Due to popular demand (ha!), here's my rather piddly collection of DVDs, in no particular order... as previously stated, I buy most of my DVDs on the cheap (I love the one-dollar DVD rack at Wal-Mart! Haha!) so there's a lot of oddball stuff in here...and I still haven't watched at least 20 of these!!!

MOVIES:
The Simpsons Movie
American Pie
American Pie 2
Jurassic Park
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Deep Impact
The Doors
Goldeneye
Die Another Day
Tomorrow Never Dies
X-Men
King Kong ('05)
Zero Tolerance (B-grade action flick w/Robert Patrick)
The Day After Tomorrow
Braveheart
Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (Someone actually bought this for my son -- and he hated it, Haha. But I dug it, so I'm keepin' the DVD!)
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
Maniac Cop
Hell Night
Dragonslayer
Congo
Independence Day
Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life
Dukes of Hazzard
Disclosure
Vacancy
Stephen King's Desperation
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 3
Candyman
Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh
The Rock
Thrill Seekers (made-for TV action movie I bought @ the dollar store, starring Casper Van Dien of "Starship Troopers" fame)
Jaws
Talk Radio
Danger Beneath The Sea (Yet another dollar store DVD -- see comment for "Thrill Seekers" -- it even stars the same guy, Casper Van Dien!)
The Punisher (Dolph Lundgren version)
Category 6: Day Of Destruction (made-for-TV disaster flick)
Devil In the Flesh 2 (no, it's not a porn, but it sounds like one, haha)
Trick Or Treat ()
The Cell
Hannibal
Cellular
Horror Express (best dollar store DVD EVER! An early 70s Hammer Studios-style romp starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing! SCORE!)
The Ring
Man-Thing
Storm Trackers (Dollar Store DVD -- a made-for TV disaster movie starring Luke Perry & Martin Sheen - how can ya go wrong with that powerhouse combo?)
Jason X
Pulse
KISS Loves You
This Is Spinal Tap

MUSIC:
Iron Maiden: Visions of the Beast
Iron Maiden: Live After Death
Rat Skates: Born in the Basement
Judas Priest: Electric Eye

OTHER:
Looney Tunes - Platinum Collection (2 DVDs)

Forgot one other DVD... my most recent "Dollar DVD" acquisition, a horror double feature disc containing "Carnage" (1984) and "Class Reunion Massacre" (aka "The Redeemer- Son of Satan")

Last time I checked, "Maniac Cop 2" was only available on DVD in Europe, not the U.S. ... I think "MC III" was released on American DVD at some point, but I've never seen one...

I very rarely buy movies. My fiancee and I have over 6000 DVDs between the two of us. We were big movie freaks a few years back, plus we worked at a video store and got great discounts. I used to special order hard to find stuff all the time for myself and sometimes get it $10-15 lower than the retail cost.

Since leaving the video store 4 years ago, I probably buy 5-10 DVDs a year. Which is A LOT less than I used to do. I mostly go for TV sets now, but I did recently purchase Rambo, Superman Returns, a slasher two pack of My Bloody Valentine & April Fool's Day.

We still go to the theater 2-4 times a month, but I'm usually past the point of "that was so awesome I have to own it on video!".

I used to collect on the cheap. I'm quite proud of my Criterion collection that every purchase was for under ten dollars or less. Half the fun was scoping out the bargains. Plus I always seemed to catch a lot of mis-priced things. The Killer at Best Buy marked 9.99, The Rock at Blockbuster for 7.99. There was also a mall video game store that sold them for 3.00.

Of course over time I started to realize that I would never get around to watching most of the stuff. I figured I had all I'll ever need. I usually don't even hit the DVD section at my local Hastings anymore. My last DVD purchase was completing my Three's Company seasons and WKRP.

Wow! That's a lot of movies! Damn. I thought I had a lot of 250 or so.

Aeon Flux was/is awesome... everything they put on that Liquid Television slot was.

I have a pretty alright collection... some notables:

Hellraiser 1 & 2 in numbered tin box
Alien quadrilogy
Star Trek movie box (1-10)
Ergo Proxy (full collection in box)
Eraserhead (giant box DVD edition)
Tetsuo: The Iron Man
Akira (tin box)
LOTR box
Blue Planet (Christmas present from wolfandraven..and teh awesome)

Aside from that most of the DVD's I buy are usually the super special editions....... so I own those of Tombstone, V for Vendetta, Legend, Blade Runner, Bram Stoker's Dracula, any film that has one really.......except for the Apocalypse Now! dossier thing... there was no need to split BOTH versions of the film up into 2 DVD's. And it's still missing the Heart of Darkness docu.
