i dont ever buy moives i always rent them unless its a classic moive (i.e The Die Hard Moives, Waynes World etc.) If I bought all the moives I ended up renting I'd probally have well over a 1000 dvds/vhs in my house

but my real collection is only about 50 dvds or so

I only buy DVDs when they're cheap. I either get previously viewed stuff from Blockbuster when they're on sale, or from bargain bins at other stores. (You'd be amazed at some of the cool, crappy movies I've gotten at the dollar store! Haha!)
Most DVDs are "one spin and out" for me, I'm not in the habit of watching the same films over and over and over again (with the exceptions of some long time favorites, of course) so once I watch a DVD once, maybe twice at most, I end up trading'em in or sellin'em off at a yard sale.

My DVD collection has grown over the last few years, which is funny considering I never watch movies. I have about 35 movies I need to watch. Haha.

That sounds just like me. In total I have about 60 DVDs sitting on my shelf right now, and out of that 60, there are probably two dozen that I haven't watched yet. Some of them have been there for a year or more, some of'em are still in the shrink wrap!!

A while back my wife and I looked at how many "unwatched" movies we had laying around and said "OK, we don't need to buy any more DVDs until we've watched all the ones we already have." Yea, suuuuuuure, that went well. They just keep on piling up and piling up. Hell, I bought two more yesterday. The supermarket down the street from me is closing down their movie rental dept and they're selling off all their old rental DVDs for five bucks apiece. I couldn't resist at that price so I snagged "Jason X" and "The Man-Thing." Lord knows when I'll ever get to watch'em, but at least I have'em!!
lol!

My kids have 2-3 dozen movies. I have about 10. Not a collector. We rent and we gets TONS from the library. Our public library has a pretty darn good selection.

I have a pretty good amount of DVD's. I've sold alot of my VHS stuff off recently when I've gotten them on DVD. I still buy some VHS tapes if I dont have it and find it cheap though. Hell, I only recently started getting rid of my beta max tapes. Laughing very hard

I recently bought Aeon Flux: The Animated Collection. This is the ORIGINAL animated series from MTV, not that cruddy movie.

I tell you, I've rarely seen American animation that can actually be considered art, but this IS art. The great animation, the incredibly deep plots, the religious and social overtones....it's just awesome.

BTW, I'm a Romero freak and you owe it to yourself to pick up The Crazies.

Spectre - I didn't know you were such a big fan!

May or may not be of interest.....I had a chance to visit the cemetery from Night Of The Living Dead. A buddy of mine and I would have a "Day Of Nothing" each Summer before going off to our different colleges. We'd pick a direction and start taking random turns. That time we ended up in Maryland (from Ohio) and on the way came across that Cemetery somewhere in the middle of PA. I have pics, just can't find them!! I was kind of spooky even in the middle of the day. Noone else was around and it's sort of out of the way in the middle of nowhere. We didn't stay long!
