That's good news. I'd hate it if they took it off here. I watch that channel quite a bit. I've gotten some great cooking ideas from it.

Here we go again, folks... now Disney (owner of ABC) is in a fight with Cablevision over fees/rates for the ABC network. They say that the local ABC channel may get yanked by this weekend if a compromise isn't reached.

...Dammit, if they pull that channel I'm gonna miss LOST!! Then I'll be SOOPER pissed!!!

Cablevision is evil. Then again, so is Disney. I dont' know who to root for at this point.

Yea, I know that... but it's the PRINCIPLE of it. My cable bill keeps going up and up and up, yet I lose a channel (again) because a couple of millionaire A-Holes are too busy having a prick waving contest to think about their customers...

Yeah, that's just flat out lame dude! I'd be PISSED if I were you.

I watch ABC more than any other channel besides CBS.

I wonder if Disney knows what they're doing... if they yank that channel, little old ladies are going to be pissed cuz they can't watch "Wheel of Fortune" or their favorite soap opera, the "Oprah" crowd are going to be up in arms, and millions of "Losties" are going to be rioting in the streets.

If they yank that channel on Sunday, Disney execs are going to wake up on Monday morning to find ALL of them gathered at the front gates of the Magic Kingdom waving pitchforks and torches.

...actually, that would be pretty freakin' cool. Laughing very hard

Welp, they did it.... as of 12:01 AM today, the local ABC affiliate (Channel 7) is pulled from our cable. Guess I'm gonna have to get used to watching "LOST" via the Internet for the time being.

That's totally insane dude. To pull a huge network like ABC is just ludicriss.

The people just aren't going to put up with that. I know I wouldn't. I'd be cancelling my cable for sure.

Too bad you can't get Direct TV. Great customer service and I get all the channels I want! Smile I didn't know Rachel Ray could look that hot.... Wow!

Ditto. Seems like cable is going down the toilet nowadays. I've had direcTV for years now. No problems with any channels being taken off ever.

I just got Direct TV last year, mainly because I wanted ESPN and the NFL Network so I could catch all the games. I also really dig the History and Discovery channels. I love all the crime/cop shows so pretty much any time of the day Law and Order or CSI is on on some channel. Laughing

CSI rules. Easily my favorite show. I like them all three.

Well, that was a quick standoff ... ABC is back on Cablevision as of right now. I bet Oprah the Mighty must've made a few phone calls.

I'm hearing that someone contacted the FCC and they stepped in to put a stop to it.
