| Any other baseball fans here? If so, who do you cheer for?
I'm a Diamondbacks fan. Have been since they started.

| Been a NY Yankees fan since I was a young'un... unfortunately I haven't been paying much attention to 'em this season, got too much other stuff goin' on ... if I've watched an inning or two out of all the games thus far this year, that's a lot. I suck. _________________

| Cardinals fan since the late 60s. And at the time, I was living in PA. I used to listen to games on KMOX after about 8pm when the station would come in. I'd listen through storms and hear Jack Buck say "Bases loaded, two out, 3-2 count on Brock. Here's the pitch..." CHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCSSHHSHHSHSHSSSZZZSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! That's what lightning static sounds like when your ear is pressed to the radio. Now I live in Cardinal country and can watch practically every game on TV. I love baseball season! _________________ "There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer |

| | I've been a lifelong Twins fan. I've tapered off though since I moved to Wisconsin, partially due to poor media coverage of them here and partially due to all the steroid B.S. |

You think baseball has the easiest rules? I think they're the most complicated; at least I think the strategy is. There's much more strategy in baseball than football IMO; especially in the National League. That's one of the main things I love about baseball; it's a cerebral sport. You have to pay attention to every pitch and every at bat to appreciate the subtle nuances of what's going on. _________________ "There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer |

That just amazes me. To me baseball is so complicated. You have the lefty vs righty thing, the strategy of when to have the pitcher bunt or swing. What pitches to throw, pitch to the slugger or walk him to get to the next guy. Football is basically all about gaining territory. Run play you think will gain you more ground. I admit both sports have strategy but IMO, in baseball, strategy is much more important on every single play. _________________ "There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer |

| | Been a Yankees fan for over 25 years. I don't watch as much as I used to simply due to being older and having more constraints on my time. Plus, the games are getting very looooonnnggg!! |

| Not a follower of the game (always wondered how the US has the chutzpah to call their series the 'World Series'), but i played a few seasons during my Cricket off season. Kept me sharp and the dynamics to the game are in essence similar. _________________ "...Those tunes ain't an entertainment, their a way to be..."

| | I'm a Phillies fan, but most times it's too hard to watch. I occasionally work the games as a scoreboard operator, so it helps ease the pain when I'm getting paid to watch them bumble. |

| My grandma loved the Dodgers (until they moved to LA). She hated the Yankess. I carry on both proudly. _________________ "Metal has a message for society, and that message is @#$% You! " - Sebastian Bach

| I agree Tohost that baseball can be very complicated. I'm trying to teach it to the ranch guys and there are so many little details to remember. Who to throw to on the hit, tagging up, when to tag the runner out and when to just step on the base. We don't even get into the pitching aspects as it's underhand softball. Football we just say, go deep. |

Rattpoison! I've learned to love Cricket! I fell in love with it last time I was in Barbados and "watched" the World Cup on the internet last year. I hate the Aussies!!!
I want to play with some of the Pakistanis and Indians here but simply don't know how to approach them - and I figure they'll look at me . _________________ I'm warning you. I'll be forced to Thrash you!
