| Don't know how popular this thread will be as I have searched and no one seems to have started up a thread about video games.
Just really wonering if anyone here is into video games and in paricular the Xbox 360. If yes then what are you playing right now, favourite games and does anyone fancy a spot of online gaming. Might be a good way to chat to people on this forum over Xbox live.
Thoughts??

| I love video games, but I rarely get the time to play anymore. I got done with Bioshock a few weeks ago. It was a cool game, but kind of repetitive IMO. The graphics looked awesome, but every "level" looked exactly the same. I dunno, I liked it alright, but I doubt I'd ever play it again.
I'm currently playing the Lego Star Wars 360 version. Its awesome. |

| Video games are far in my past and short of winning the lottery, they might very well remain until I have kids (if I ever get married).

I've just finished Lego Star wars and I really liked it too. I also really liked Bioshock. I got it when it first came out and I thought the storyline was ace and it relly kept my attention, so much so I completed it after a solid week of playing nothing but that game.
Best game on the 360 so far IMO is Dead Rising, brilliant. Consideing Dawn of the Dead is one of my Favourite horror films ever this game is just great.

Ok, never heard that one before but seriously, if you like video games then the Xbox 360 really does have some amazing games. I have been playing games since the days of the ZX Spectrum and have owned (and still do as a collector) pretty much every gaming machine made and for me the Xbox 360 blows them all away. Not just because he current level of graphic and sound on the console are ace but because I have never come across a consol with such a great range of truly fantastic games.
I have never played a console as much as this one. My other half has become an Xbox widow (Sad I know).

I have one too but really for blu-ray. I only own a couple of games. There's just not enough quality exclusive games for the PS3 yet.

| We only have games such as Call of Duty 4, I believe, & Resistance of Man for it. Oh yeah, and Rock Band, which the kids like to play.

Call of duty 4 is indeed a great game. As for my gamertag it was ultramagnus007, hence my name on this board but I have since changed it to OptimusPrime76.
As you may have guessed I have a soft spot for transformers. I'll let you judge if this is healthy for a 31 year old male.

| Sorry, never knew this thread existed. I don't have online capabilities with my 360. I bought the Arcade version used and added the memory to it. I don't plan on spending the $100 or whatever get the part to get me online and then pay monthly to stay online. 
I bought my system in May and so far, I only have Assassin's Creed and Dead Rising. There's TONS of games I want though with Crackdown, Conan, Elder Scrolls IV, Lost Planet and GTA IV being at the top of the list.
DR isn't as good as I thought it'd be, but I'm really enjoying AC. I'm just afraid to play it too long because since I bought it used, I'd be screwed if I get the red rings.

I wouldn't worry about it, if it was going to happen it probably would have already. I bought mine about 6 months after they first came out...I had it for 3 months and it died (red rings of death), they sent me a replacement and I've never had any problems with it. The problem was mainly with the first couple production runs and has since been corrected. |

I think mine is a 2006. I originally purchased a 2005 used version, but when I got home, the disc tray wouldn't eject, so I took it back to the game store and ended up with an '06 model and the guy told me this particular one had already been refurbished and was not likely to die on me because of that. Hopefully, it died on someone else before me and now it's fixed.

| I've had an Xbox 360 for a bit over a year. Recently finished Bioshock, which was pretty cool (but as Rex said, a bit repetitive after a while). I've played through Gears Of War a couple of times (I REALLY enjoyed it). Also have Saint's Row (kinda like GTA: Vice City and the like) which I've finished twice I believe. I've also got Tenchu Z, which was pretty decent but VERY samey after the first few missions.
I also own a PS3.  But I've only got one game for it, which is Assassin's Creed (my wife plays the PS3 more than me, so she has 3 games).
I would join an online gaming session with ya on XBOX, but I don't HAVE CoD 4.
