Then you should check out DRI, The Crucified, ST, The Exploited etc... (punk bands that added metal)


Those bands all started off as punk bands and "crossed over" to become metal bands.


But as they were crossing over they were still playing a punk style with metal added in... for example, Join the Army by Suicidal and the debut from The Crucified were pretty much still hardcore punk but with a strong metal influence.

Regardless of what Ult says, there are times when it IS a matter of opinion.
Is Alice in Chains metal? Is Primus? I say heck yes.
