Freddy, for me it's my favorite year EVER in music history. A lot of that had to do with the fact that I was 13, and my musical tastes were expanding. I was still into stuff that was on the radio (I hate to call it pop, but I guess that's what it was), but the metal scene was amazing.

Ditto. I was 14 in 1984 and was just starting to discover the metal underground and all of its treasures. What a great time to be alive!! _________________ "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick a**...and I'm all out of bubblegum."

Very true Spec, to me personally 1984 was more important to me because I was 14 and I was discovering a brand new world of music.

Coincidentally, I picked up Van Halen's 1984 last week (other than 'Jump' and 'Hot For Teacher', I didn't know the album at all). It's one hell of an album, if a bit cheesy synth-heavy.
