Yes, for some of us the 90s were a continuation from the 80s and we didnt start looking strange or listening to strange alternative music. We went on with out looks, our metal music buying great metal music and defending our movement. Many of those betrayers left metal between 93 and 97 and then came back but others kept the flame of metal burning. |

I agree. After Elegy Amorphis lost me. However, they have once again piqued my interest. _________________

I liked Pasi's voice but the new guy has the added benefit of being able to do death growls whos abstance after Elegy was one of the reasons I moved away from them that and the lack of heaviness (I know there were death vocals on one song in Tuonela but not enough for me). _________________

| | yea the heaviness def went away after Elegy. I bought Tuonela hoping that is was similar to Elegy but i guess i held my expectations a little too high. |

| The 90's was the time of the second wave of black metal so it was a pretty good decade. Some good releases are: Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom. Sathanas Mayhem - Live In Leipzig Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse Dimmu Borgir - For All Tid Dimmu Borgir - Stormblast (the only two good Dimmu discs) |
