| I don't have any of their albums, but the stuff I've heard from Atheist really impressed me. Real technical sounding.

I used to have it on cassette back in the day. I need to replace it onto cd though - as I no longer have my old cassettes.

I like emotion in vocals and death metal is just blah to me and i agree most of the songs i cant tell a part. There are a few bands i dig though

I've only heard one song from this band - but I thought it was cool! They are gonna be here with Exodus and Warbringer this month - so I might pick up their latest album at the show.

alot of the goredeath bands have art that's too offensive to post at a forum such as this... disturbingly violent porn covers. bands like Splatter Whore, Fecal Corpse, Sikfuk, XXX Maniak etc.

| Speaking of Death Metal I just reviewed the new DISCERN. It was cool to hear some straight forward, old-school death metal untainted by the melo-death or core factors. Had a bit of a thrash influence on a few songs though.

Cool. So you heard this new album? I really like the introduction that is dedicated to Chuck from Death. It made me almost wish the whole CD was that style.

There are also some bands that claim they are a Deathrash, bands like Sarcofago and Poison(ger) that I like as well. Also early Sepultura. |
