Warmachine - The Beginning Of The End (sample track)
All $5 each from CD Baby! 
The guitar tone on that Evil Masquerade clip sounds like crap. It doesn't sound anything like that on CD. Gods of Fire are good, but sounds like it should be called a demo. Good songs from a band with potential to be really good. Worth the $5, though. Anyone that bought the Vagh CD should love Power Project. It's killer! Glad it's $5, too. I had it downloaded for ages, ever since they reviewed it on MetalReviews.com.

I haven't heard that album, but I've got three others and love 'em. The ones with Ferdy Dorenberg have the overt Queen influence, but the others do as well. A unique sound, equal parts Queen, Scorpions, and maybe Coroner or Rage or something. They go from melodic crooning to heavy riffing pretty seamlessly. Lots of clean piano too. P-R-O-G!!. |

That's some weird stuff there. This is material was recorded before Phil Collins was even the band's drummer. 1960's pop rock with some psychedelic influences and only a hint of what the band would become in teh 70's.

Yea totally different from their other albums. I got it cause they are not releasing it in the next box set. Its pretty cool to hear how they started out, but like you said its has some psychedelic influences. Not that thats bad but its a little too hippy-ish for me. Another thing that kinda bugs me is that theres barely any drums on it. Its not a horrible album though. |
