| If this has been done before here on this board, I don't know. The search option isn't specific enough to do a proper investigation. Seems some folks get pretty bent about regurgitating topics that have been thrown down the neck already. Oh Well ! What is the rarest piece of metal you own ? I have a Scorpions vinyl boxset that is the first 3 RCA studio lps. I also have 3 different pic discs of Lonesome Crow on three different labels. My personal favorite is more of a time and place thing, as opposed to it being a rarity... That being a signed by all 4 members of Motley Crue lp of "Too Fast For Love" on Leathur Records. It was signed by Nikki and Mick in the parking lot of the Troubadour and by Vince and Tommy, a few hours later on the table of thier pad. The cover has a lil damage over the groin area on the front, that is where Tommy stuck the used rubber. This may seem gross to some ? It was early 82' and it was rock n roll. |

| | James B., that's some really cool stuff you got there. I don't have anything that rare. I have some cd's and cassettes that are semi rare ep's and promo/advance copies that are just blank covers with the bands name and album title on them. I won't really pay a lot for a cd/cassette/album (my limits like $20 or so) so I will never really have anything that will get sold on ebay for mad money. |

| | I have the original "Vengeance" version of Human Sacrifice on CD that came out in 1988 before they had to change their name to Vengeance Rising. I guess only 1000 were ever pressed that way, pretty rare I suppose. I had to pay an ungodly 60 some dollars for it.....yeah I'm stupid, I know. |

Now where does one start? I think I won't. Instead I'll refer to my website. _________________

| I don't have a lot of "rare" stuff (or if I do, I don't realize it's rare, cuz I'm not an eBay kinda guy) but I've picked up a few interesting things over the years.
I only recently found out that Forced Entry's AS ABOVE SO BELOW CD is kinda hard to come by and goes for some pretty decent coin. I had no idea, I picked it up used for $3.99 about five years ago and I don't even think it's that great an album.
I have the PAR Records cassette pressing of Crimson Glory's first album (with "Dream Dancer" as the lead off track) which I'm told is something of a rarity. As I understand it, PAR Records (a tiny indie label in Florida) only pressed 10,000 copies of the album all totaled; I don't know how many of those were cassettes and how many were vinyl.
I have a 7-inch picture disc 45 of Stryper's "Reason for the Season" (with "Winter Wonderland" on the B-side) which is the only copy of it I've ever seen.
There might be more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. _________________

| ADX - Suprematie / La Terreur (Sydney 88 ) ANACRUSIS - Suffering Hour (Restless / Metal Blade 90) GRINDER - Dawn for the Living (No Remorse 89) VULTURE - Easier to Lie (Overdrive 93) INC - The Visitor (Giant 88 ) LAST DESCENDANTS - One Nation Under God (Aaarrg 88 )
I don't really have anything rare on vinyl; for instance I have this one (in special vinyl bag): http://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=180166921258
But I guess that this was just another crazy ebay auction, since I bought it at about same time from ebay.co.uk for 3 or 4 gbp;
I'm also getting Exorcist - Nightmare Theatre LP, and I have 1st edition of Torment's Bestial Sex 7" from 1987 (copy 17/1000), but those two aren't really rare ...
Anyhow, Keep it True festival is in 2 weeks and I'm for sure planning to add something rare to my collection, for example Usurper (HOL) or first Vulture CDs _________________ Welcome to the slaughter, I hope you're having fun!!

WOW!! I have that on a white vinyl 33 1/3, but I've never heard of that picture disc. Now I'm all jealous and stuff. |

| | Every once in a while I'll be looking on Amazon and I'll see something I bought 10-15 years ago is now way out of print and someone is selling it for as much as $200 to $500 or so. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but I know this has happened to me about ten times or so. It always surprises me, but I don't really keep track of how much my CDs are worth. |

That's about as rare as it gets in my collection. But damn, I'm glad I finally got them all. |

| | I have all three Sound Barrier lp's. The very first recording of Hirax's The New Age of Terror. You might not know this ,but that cd was recorded 2 times. The first time was at a studio in Orange County. We took it to Mike Rosen to mix it. He wanted to re record everything so we scraped the first recording and recorded it again at Rosen's studio... |

| Too much to mention really, and it all depends what you mean by "Rare" I've CDs that are limited to a handful of copies, I've LPs that are test pressings with a C.O.A, but some other stuff may not be "Rare" in value but mean alot to me, My weirdest Metal related item would be my Grave Digger bottle of Red Wine which was a promo for their album "The Last Supper".
