| I bought this cd a couple of days ago and love it. Sound to me very much like BLOOD OF TYRANTS but with some more early EXCITER moments in the songs. Very good album. Do you already bought it???? What do you think about it???? Is this the first post about this new EXCITER album?? I hope so Some of my fave songs on this album are BETRAYAL, THE PUNISHER(pure old school EXCITER), MASSACRE MOUNTAIN and THRASH SPEED BURN. ROT THE DEVIL KING remind me a little of HIRAX mixed with old EXCITER. Very cool. |

| My "review" from No Life 'Til Debbie:
My first impression of "Thrash Speed Burn" is that it has a bit of classic Exciter thrown in with what one may expect a band like Exciter to sound like in 2008. Songs like "Hangman", "In Mortal Fear", and "The Punisher" are standouts. However, this is hardly what I would call a classic Exciter release. Everything is a bit samey and the production is muddy and blah. Also, I'm just not totally crazy about new vocalist Kenny "Metal Mouth" Winter's vocals. They can be pretty shrill and over the top at times. On the title track his nasally whimper is extra annoying making the song almost unlistenable. That is my only true complaint of all Exciter releases without Dan Beehler on vocals. The other vocalists that have stepped foot in the hallowed halls of Exciter just do not match up to the prowess of the awesome Mr. Beehler. On the up side, there isn't a wimpy song on this album. There isn't a single hook either. Melody? Fu¢k melody. So all in all, if you like your metal raw and simple, then Exciter's "Thrash Speed Burn" is for you. _________________

| I never understood why Exciter have always been underrated. It's nuts. These guys rock much better then many bands who have a huger commercial exposure. It's so sad. Can't wait to get their latest release. Hopefully when i go to Europe in summer, since metal is forbidden in my home land |
