I caught one of Hasselvander's drum sticks @ that Raven show too, which narrowly avoided being thrown away during Spring cleaning a few years back, I literally rescued it from my wife's hand like "Don't you DARE! This is an ACTUAL played-in-concert drumstick!" and she just kinda rolled her eyes at me like "Whatever, you geek." Sheesh. Women!!

LOL! Know that. I'm about as big a collector's geek as there is. My wife doesn't even both anymore since my stuff has taken over and controlled our bedroom. She has given up as long as it doesn't start to take over the rest of the house.

I'm practicing with my new scanner (thank you, tax refund!) so I figured I'd post some of my signed stuff. I have gotten all of these scrawls in person over the years.

This was my first ever autograph -- Bobby Gustafson of Overkill on a ticket stub. As fate would have it, this turned out to be Bobby's last show with Overkill, so I feel pretty lucky that I met him and managed to get his sig.

Front of Raven's DESTROY ALL MONSTERS live CD booklet, autographed by all three Raven members. (I want this buried with me when I die.)

Front of Kiss' LICK IT UP booklet, autographed by Vinnie Vincent. Notice how Vinnie wrote his name over everyone else's faces on the cover except his own? I think he's still got some issues that need to be resolved. Laughing

Back of KISS' ALIVE III booklet, signed by Eric Singer

Richie Scarlet's WISE GUY FROM NEW YORK CD cover, autographed by Richie

Flyer for Peter Criss' "CAT #1" album, signed by Peter.

I want that Lick It Up booklet you bastard!

Here's one I meant to post the other day... this is the J-card to my cassette of the Ramones' MONDO BIZARRO album (1992), signed by all four Ramones members... Marky, CJ, Johnny, and Joey. Needless to say this is my most prized autographed item now that Joey and Johnny have both passed away.

Signed by Glenn Rogers and Jimmy Brown

Signed by the entire band, Jimmy, George Ochoa, Mike Grato & Kevin Lee. Saw the band on this tour and ate dinner with them. George actually wasn't with them. He was touring with Vengeance Rising at the time, but I caught George the very next week at the Vengeance show and had him sign it.

Signed by Jimmy Brown, Mike Grato and guitarist Mike Phillips.

Signed by Jimmy Brown and bassist Manny Morales. Had 'em sign this when Deliverance performed at Extreme Martigras '02.

I've seen Deliverance a few times. Saw them for the first time on the Weapons tour with the Mosketeers opening. Saw them a few years later on the What A Joke tour. Didn't see them again until the reunion thing in '02. Saw them again a couples years ago perform a short set at Up From the Ashes II in California.

I would've loved to see Deliverance during the early (Self-titled/ WEAPONS/WHAT A JOKE) days but to the best of my knowledge they never came anywhere near my area back then. The only time I even heard of them playing anywhere in the entire Northeast was at some kind of Creation-style Christian music festival way the heck up in Buffalo, NY, which would've been a bit of a drive from where I was living at the time (like, eight hours), haha. Oh well.

More signed stuff!

Halford's METAL GOD ESSENTIALS VOL I signed by The Man himself. Sadly, I didn't get this autograph in person. My brother got it for me when Halford did a meet-and-greet at Vintage Vinyl Records in New Jersey last Fall.

Inside of the Halford booklet signed by Brian Tilse and Jay Jay of Fight (left panel) and "Metal Mike" Chlasciak (right panel)

This is j-card of my Guns N Roses APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION tape, signed by drummer Steven Adler. (Yea, I know, if I didn't tell you it was an autograph, you'd think someone killed a spider on my J-Card. Haha!)

I have a funny story about getting this one: When I met Steve Adler he'd already been out of GNR for a year or two at least. He was playing at this dump club on Staten Island, NY (where I went to college) with a short lived band he'd formed with Davy Vain called "Roadcrew," so my friend and I went to check it out.

Anyway, Steven walked into the club while the opening band was on and people started hitting him up for autographs, talking to him, etc so I got in line. I should mention that he already looked pretty wasted. When I got up to him I sez "Hey Steven, how ya doin'?" As he's shaking my hand there was a brief pause while he looked me in the eye (I remember thinking "Dude, there is NOBODY home in there."). Then all of a sudden his face lights up and he's like "AAAAAAAAYYYYYY MAAAAAAAAAAANNN, HOW YA DOIN' BRO?" and shaking my hand so hard I thought he was gonna rip my arm off. I'm like "Um, I'm OK, Steve, how'bout an autograph?" He sez "Sure man, sure, too cool, too cool," signs my cassette insert, pats me on the back and I'm on my way like "Uh, what just happened?" I can only assume he must've mistaken me for somebody he knew, although I didn't have the heart to say anything.
lol!

Fat Freddy, it is funny your comment about Adler, you should see the autograph of Mat Sorum, he signs ALL the cover, he thinks he is the only one member of the band!
Other musicians that have big signatures are Mark Mendoza, Dave Gaham (I am a Depeche Mode fan as well), Bill Ward, Mike Fasano. and many drummers. Some drummers usually draw a drum within the autograph.

It's not just drummers...check out the scan of my LICK IT UP disc by KISS that I posted earlier in this thread... Vinnie Vincent covered everybody else's face on it (except his own) with his signature! Laughing

Oh yeah! I meant drummers because the draw, so yes, there are many people that thinks the only one member of the band when they sign.
