PostSubject: The Ultimate Metallica Setlist   Sun Dec 02, 2007 2:34 pm

Greetings,

I know, this is a very long list, and would probably take over 4 hours to go through, but if Metallica decided to perform an all-day concert, here's my list:

Intro

Blackened
Fight
Fire with Fire

The Four Horsemen
Phantom Lord
Jump
in the Fire
No Remorse
Sad but True
Don’t
Tread On Me
For Whom the Bell Tolls
My Friend of Misery

Kirk doodle #1

The Unforgiven
One
Disposable Heroes
Harvester of Sorrow
Eye of the Beholder
The Frayed Ends of Sanity
The God that Failed

Rob Solo
Orion
Fade to Black

Kirk Solo/Doodle
To Live is To Die
Dyers Eve
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Nothing Else Matters - Kirk Solo/Rob doodle
Master of Puppets
The Thing That Should Not Be
Leper Messiah - Kirk Solo

…And Justice for All
Creeping Death
Wherever I May Roam

Am I Evil?
Frantic – New Version
Enter Sandman
----------------------
Seek and Destroy
Whiplash

- This is not just a list of my all-time favourite Metallica songs, as there are many favourites left off here. I looked at it in a different way. If they decided to do so, it would be 2007/2008, so I looked at what would fit James' voice best now, what I personally would love to hear live, and also how I arrange the songs (some people may list a song like "Am I Evil?" right next to "Disposable Heroes...I just think it doesn't work...I try to mold in, so the song progression fits the different thems, f.ex., I put "Disposable Heroes" right before "One"..) - And please, if you decide to post a setlist, don't just jumble up all your favourite tunes - Please also look at what I have done.

Thanks

PS: What I mean by "Frantic-New version", is that I have seen a couple of shows, where Kirk added a solo and stuff...I would really like to hear a longer added solo, some double bass, and maybe some slight arrangement editing.

Cheers,

Gustav

To be completely honest, Ive never really liked Metallica. But, if they played Kill 'Em All as a whole with a few off Ride The Lightning it'd be a decent show.

well since this whole setlist is far too overblown, you could go even further by bringing in that song (-human) that they did with the SFSO on S&M. that's what i meant.

I detect some sarcasm there. Sad

But since I'm a post whore:

1) walk on stage
2) play everything from TOO FAST FOR LOVE and SHOUT AT THE DEVIL
3) retire

Ultimate Def Leppard set list:
1) exhume Steve Clark
2) play all of ON THRU THE NIGHT, HIGH N DRY and PYROMANIA
3) retire.
