Bands like Lock Up are also freaking fast and have more beats per min than any other band mentioned above, so you'd consider them speed metal too? |
I dont know the music of LOCK UP but listen to the song THUNDERSTEEL by RIOT and then you will understand what SPEED METAL is all about in my opinion but their are many different tipes of SPEED METAL. Speed with thrash, Speed with power, speed with heavy metal etc.... |

Well, I would label them speed metal, because they play speedy, but to these other guys' description of speed metal, I'd say they're "extreme" power metal.

speed =annihilator
the aggression level was a bit more controlled in speed metal
