PostSubject: Puppet of Destruction re-issue   Tue Jun 16, 2009 4:14 am

Hey guys, I'm petitioning Bill from Roxx Records to allow Scott and the boys to give a proper re-mastered re-issue of their Puppet of Destruction album. I think you all will agree that a few years ago, Retroactive records was kind enough to re-issue Symphonic Extremities and the Mechanics of Perilous Times, and both came out great.

If you guys can e-mail Bill at bill@roxxproductions.com and urge him to get the project underway, we might be able to do this. Plus you'll get the bonus cuts of Never re-mixed and Sins of Omission by Testament as bonus cuts and possible some more music.

So let's do this for the boys.

I think its Rowe Productions that owns it at this point not Roxx.

Nope. Ultimatum owns the rights to Puppet of Destuction. Our contract with Rowe ended in 2008. Smile

Retroactive said they were not interested in re-issuing Puppet, so GN is petitioning Roxx Records to do it. I would love to have that CD properly mastered and released. The poor, tinny mastering ruined that CD IMO. It could sound so, sooooo much better with the bottom end back in the mix.

Scott

I for one would be interested in getting this. Perhaps a limited release like Till the End was would work well.

Blech! I'd rather throw "Mortal Stomp '08" on there instead. "Fatal Delay" sucks!

Got an e-mail today from Bill:

Quote:
Hello
Vartan,

Thanks you so
much for the feedback! It sounds like an excellent idea. I will discuss the
possibilities with the band!

We have
several projects started and coming out soon, but this could be another great
release! I'll keep you posted!

Yes. I think that would be a nice gift to fans that aren't lucky enough to own the songs.

To be honest, both yes and no. It would be great to have them on CD, but they donæt belong on Puppet. They should have been on Symphonic, if you ask me.

Maybe on a seperate CD for pre-orders only, sort of like Roxx did with the Thresher release?

Will mention that to Bill. I hate that demo, but I wouldn't mind it being released to a limited fan base like that.
