| i bet you hear about them yea baby, this band really rocks happy to see/hear something good after long long time. better said good to be back in 80s hair/glam metal/rock era. not enough to listen their new album, typical arena/anthem style as was 20yrs or more yrs ago. see their web page with videos and clips, which are really good to me. http://www.steelpantherrocks.com/ |

| I saw these guys in Los Angeles when they were known as Metal Skool. Kind of a novelty act, but fun nonetheless. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| Still haven't heard this CD but there was a faux "Behind The Music" style promotional video making the rounds a while back (maybe it was posted here? I don't remember where I first saw it) that was freakin' hysterical. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| Unfortunately I missed their debut in the UK at Download Festival as they clashed with ZZ Top. But I've listened to the album a couple of the times and it's a solid record. Definitely worth picking up for glam-fans! |

| I got this cd, and it is very good...filthy raunchy over the top profane lyrics....along the lines of the BLOODY STOOLS...but the musicianship is top notch...It's a great cd. _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| Why do some of them have to wear wigs, and obvious one's at that? I know it's part of the look but it just makes them look like posers to me. Might have to check out some of their tunes though. |

Because they're more of a "parody" of '80s style metal than a band that's trying to do it "for real" if that makes any sense... _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| I got a free three song promo EP of them last week and listened to it today. Entertaining. I did some reading up on them on Wiki and found that one of the guys used to be in a band with a guy named Dean Cameron. For those of you keeping score at home, he played Chainsaw in the movie "Summer School. |

Before they were Steel Panther, they were known as Metal Skool. They were/are an 80's metal tribute band. They had a regular gig at one of those clubs on the Sunset Strip. Like Freddy said, the whole thing is a parody. It's sort of a joke. They're supposed to be over the top. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007
