| I recently got it and I love it :metal: It's like the Empire of Fates Warning well maybe not I am not familiar with their albums after Inside Out which I think is their worst album. Alotta early Fates Warning fans who were into their first 3 or 4 albums would hate the album. I personally think it's one of their best albums along with Perfect Symmetry like their early stuff is good but they sounded too much like Iron Maiden but in a good way even though I wouldn't label them an Iron maiden clone except for their debut album. Great melodic songs like Eye to Eye. |

| It's OK but not one of their best albums. "Empire" is much better. |

| I love this album and have for a long time. It's probably been about a year or so since I put it in the player. I tend to gravitate more toward the first 3 or 4 FW albums or the most recent two. Glad that you are enjoying it. |

| I've always liked this album. It's a good prog-rock disc. |

| Pretty decent. Not my favorite FW by a long shot, though. |

I agree with you - it is a fantastic album. The only Fates Warning I don't like is inside out - to cop another Queensryche comparison, inside out is fates warning's hear in the now frontier |

| I dig Parallels alot, although I like their '85-'87 years better, as well as Perfect Symmetry. The vocals and lyrics I like much better in the Ray Alder years, no more of that silly "dancing with the banshee" stuff and Ray Alder rules. But I love the guitars from "Spectre", Guardian" and "No Exit" the most. I agree with the Queensryche comparisons stated above. |

| This is a great album. But,No Exit is my favorite from the Ray Alder era. |

| Really like Parallels. I have enjoyed everything that they have done over the years and especially like A Pleasant Shade Of Gray. Saw them live twice on that tour, in Houston and Fort Worth, and they did a remarkable job of duplicating the album live. Great band and one of my top bands of all-time. |

| This is actually the only Fates Warning album I own. Prog metal maybe, but Point of View and We Only Say Goodbye are just good, catchy songs.
And it doesn't sound like Empire, it's more llke Mindcrime in my opinion. |

| Proggy without losing me with some long drawn out playing that I think only the musicians like. |

| By far my favorite FW album. One of the few I consider just about perfect from start to finish. |

| "Parallels" is probably my fav FW album, w/ "Perfect Symmetry" and "No Exit" in a tie for 2nd place. Great stuff! "Living Life In Still Water" gets stuck in my head even weeks after I've listened to the album |

| I think it's a fantastic album...not a bad song to be found. Ray sounds amazing on this album and the melodies are amazing. |

That was my first Fate's album and I agree with you. I love that album and HitNF was horrid apart from that one good song. I really like Parallels and it is IMO on par with Inside Out. Compared to old Fates, those two albums arent necessarily better (though I prefer them), just different. |

| Been spinning this one a lot lately (have been on a FW kick the last weeks!), and often just let it repeat play in the car! I too get the Empire vibe from it. A really impressive album -focused, well-crafted, tasteful and thoughtful, with a mix of catchy songs and more atmospheric ones. The only complaint I have is that Eye to Eye is too reminiscent of Through Different Eyes for me, but in the scheme of the album, I can live with it! |
