All that I can find decent info on really.

They have a few more cannonical EPs and live albums I think but I cant find decent info on them.

Sorry if I left out stuff, but lately been busy as frakk with school. I'm in the house an average of 36ish hours (32ish of which i'm sleeping during the night) during the work week. Basically I'm stuck on campus doing School/Running or Rock climbing,bouldering/NROTC/More schooool

That's their manager (Gunter Ford)'s company. He's been managing them since the first album.

Illud Divinum Insanus
2011

1. "Omni Potens" – 2:28
2. "Too Extreme!" – 6:13
3. "Existo Vulgoré" – 3:59
4. "Blades for Baal" – 4:52
5. "I Am Morbid" – 5:16
6. "10 More Dead" – 4:51
7. "Destructos vs. the Earth / Attack" – 7:15
8. "Nevermore" – 5:07
9. "Beauty Meets Beast" – 4:56
10. "Radikult" – 7:37
11. "Profundis - Mea Culpa" – 4:05

* David Vincent – bass guitar, vocals
* Trey Azagthoth – guitar
* Destructhor – guitar
* Tim Yeung – drums

I would describe this album as hit or miss. It has both perks to its favor as well as some features that fans do not find palatable. Most notably, the drums in some of the tracks have reverted back to the "typewriter" styled triggers and the production in some cases seems a bit lacking. They definitely experimented on this album (something they are well known for) and while I applaud the attempt... I find it sub-par to what they have written in the past. My friend on facebook said 4 listenable tracks, the rest are 'crap'. I disagree. I find this album has 5 good tracks and a few tracks that take some warming up on.

The tracks I believe are the highlights of this album are "Nevermore, Existo Vulgoré, 10 More Dead (which has a really cool slow groove to it), I Am Morbid, Beauty Meets Beast". I find "Destruction Vs The Earth" is O.K. , just takes some warming up.

Dave Vincent's vocals sound GREAT and the riffing from Trey are awesome as usual.

I think the worst song has to be Radikult. Sounded like a friggin' Marilyn Manson song. yikes!

Yeah, sadly that one has better production than a few others.

I know they've always tried to draw from different influences, I'm just not sure what direction they are trying to take this one.

My brother (the lifelong Morbid Angel fan in the family) was just b*tching to me about how disappointed he is in the new album... sent me a YouTube link to this song and I was like "Damn. Is this a practical joke?"

^^^ Laughing

Dude seriously, it's just too far away from who they are. It may be a good song, (I don't know, it's not a style I care for), but it wasn't what I was looking for from a "Death Metal" cd. And this album is barely just that.

I love Morbid Angel and I hate to say this but the album is horrible, I am all for artist trying something different but IMO this was a complete artistic failure. One of the biggest disappointments.

^Haha yeah, I saw that, thought it was pretty funny. You know, that song "I Am Morbid" is actually pretty cool. I'm starting to think that if their setlist only consisted of the few good songs on IDI, or maybe just one crappy song at the most, they'd still be more than worth seeing live. Here's the setlist they played on June 12th in the Netherlands:

01. Immortal Rites
02. Fall From Grace
03. Rapture
04. Pain Divine
05. Maze of Torment
06. Sworn to the Black
07. Existo Vulgoré
08. Nevermore
09. I Am Morbid
10. Angel of Disease
11. Lord of All Fevers and Plague
12. Chapel of Ghouls (with extended solo by Trey Azagthoth)
YAY!! santa

...but then after the encore it starts to suck sigh
13. Dawn of the Angry
14. Where the Slime Live
15. Blood on My Hands
16. Bil Ur-Sag
17. God of Emptiness
18. World of S**t

Hey btw, what exactly is going on with Pete Sandoval right now? Is he going to come back later or what? I thought that he was just not playing on this album, but I don't think he's been playing any of their recent live shows either.

Not sure, I've been out of the Morbid Angel loop while getting my brain molested at Comm School.

It sucked after the encore? Dude those are some solid tracks.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That's a great setlist. I don't think I could sit through one of those "other" songs on the last album.

In all fairness, "Blood on My Hands" is a pretty good song and "Dawn of the Angry" isn't bad either. The other songs don't really do it for me. One thing that does bother me about that setlist A LOT is that they have about seven songs from Covenant and only one song from Blessed Are the Sick. I'd still like to see them live, I'd just leave after "Blood On My Hands". Very Happy

I wont lie. I enjoyed a fair bit of the new album.
Sadly Radikult was one of my favorite songs off of it (maybe I'm just weird)
Songs I liked were
Radikult
Destructos vs The Earth
Existo Vulgore
Blades for Baal
Beauty Meets Beast.

I give it a....7.5 out of 10.
