I grabbed Revolver and Sgt. Peppers today. Based on the versions I use to own, theres so much more clarity, it sounds amazing! Totally recommended.

At Wal Mart the single discs were $14 and 2 cd were $20. Going back for The White Album next pay day.

A friend of mine got totally screwed on the box set today. He had them hold it for him at FYE and they were suppose to call him to let him know it was in the day before, but they never called. So he called today and they only got 1 and someone else ordered it before him. Then he asks how much the box set would be and it was like $60 more than it is on their website. He missunderstood what I told him to do and now he has nothing so far. I knew the box set would be hard to get, but the store only got 1 copy? Why would they do that. Especially with this Beatles thing everyone and their mother (except me) wants the stupid thing but there isn't enough being made. its stupid.

In the Best Buy ad circular from Sunday's newspaper, underneath the pic of the box set, it reads in small print "1 copy guaranteed at all stores" or something to that effect. I guess that means every Best Buy will have a least 1 copy in stock for approximately 19 seconds before doors opened this morning.

Sattellite radio is playing cuts off of all the remasters and even though I'm not that fine tuned & I'm listening through computer speakers, I can hear a difference in most of the songs. Background vocals & instrumentation that was once unnoticed can be heard. I can only imagine what these sound like through a decent stereo.

I can't stand The Beatles, but I'll pick a couple of 'em up for my mom's birthday.

From what I've heard on the radio, the remasters sound amazing. Can't wait.

Cool that as soon as I start becoming a Beatles fan, they re-release the whole catalog!

Love the Beatles, but too rich for my blood, although I do have them all in digital format, I still want the physical copies. I did get The Beatles Rockband though and that is pretty awesome.

Count me in as a non-fan. I know the Lennon/McCartney songwriting duo ranks for many people as one of the best songwriting teams in music history but I'll take the Jagger/Richards duo by light years. I've never understood the appeal of the Beatles' music.

And actually, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I much prefer Paul's Wings output to anything the Beatles ever did.

I just want all the whoop-de-doo to be over soon so VH1 Classic will go back to their regular programming instead of the All-Beatles, All-The-Time format they've been showing for the past couple of days. I got nuthin against the Beatles but I can only watch so much of 'em.

My personal opinion is that this is one of the most overrated musical groups in history. They just happened to come out at a time when everyone in the world was looking for something new. If you actually analyze all their music, I don't think it merits the iconic status most seem to give it. There are a few here and there that actually merit "classic" status (like Hey Jude) but overall, I just don't understand why people went gaga over this band.

Well, of course they're overrated. Being the most famous band in the world for 40 years tends to come with a lot of hype. Are they the greatest thing since sliced bread? No, but I and a lot of people happen to enjoy most of their music.

I find that really surprising for a chain like that. Hell, the local hole in the wall I go to has 5 of the damn things.

Not me. I love it. I could watch Beatles documentaries all day. I'm fascinated by all the stories & behind-the-scenes stuff. The technical wizardy in the studio amazes me. I sometimes think I got in the wrong business.

I don't think sliced bread is all what people make it out to be either. I mean come on, its just bread!

Yea my friend went to another store thats a mom and pop shop and they had a couple but it cost more money. They wanted like $260 or something and amazon has it for like $185 thats including tax and free shipping.

Yeah, why is VH1 doing that and all the record stores going crazy with Beatles stuff? Is it simply that it's the first time they have ever been remastered? Peace.
