I used to have both of these on tape...the first one had BELIEVER on it...the second had PHIL ACARDI'S CHALICE...

Anyone have these? I'm sure Ult and Kurt probably do...

Actually, there was only one volume of East Coast Metal. Phil Accardi's Chalice appeared on Underground Metal II. And yes, there was some classic stuff on each of those comps!

Highlights were The Lead, Believer, Thresher and Knightriot.

I have ECM and UM 2. I'll hook you up tomorrow, Shawn (it's gettin' late here in the North). If no one else beats me to it, that is.

I remember seeing "East Coast Metal" on vinyl in stores quite often back in the day... couldn't tell ya what/who was on it anymore though.

I think it may have been underground metal 2 that had nina llopis on it, that song from her solo project was actually pretty rad.

Wow, talk about memory lane. I feel like I just walked into a cloud of nostalgia just by opening up this thread.

I had all these on cassette back in the day. Wow.

Phil Accardi's Chalice was actually pretty good stuff!

Everything on East Coast Metal RULED!!!

Both California Metal's were very good too!

I miss these old days. I wish Christian Metal was like that nowadays. It's just not the same though ... that's why I mostly listen to secular now.

I know...I've been in an ultra-mega nostalgic mood in this last week...listening to things that in some cases I literally haven't heard in 20 years...it's been amazing!!!
