| Just heard that the Foo Fighters are coming in November to the arena where I work. Sweet!! Opening up is Social Distortion (YES!!) and The Joy Formidable (who?)

| all afternoon and night this saturday is bay area metal festival 2011: forbidden, ulysses siren, embryonic devourment, hatriot, potential threat, sympathy ends, lyceum, short fuse, hell fire, kinetik, left of christ, desecrater, repaid in blood, something left unsaid, izeovasis, endings for anastasia, one punch machine gun, chained existence, casket of cassandra, dissipate. local band fest with a focus on smaller bands (aside from the headliners like forbidden). |

| Apparently Obscura weren't able to play last week because of border issues.
Since Napalm Death are playing in Halifax in October, hopefully they will have them cleared up and play that show. That would be awesome. |

| I caught Cinderella and John Corabi last night. John did an all acoustic set that featured a couple new songs and some covers. Cinderella were really,really good. They played all the hits and sounded great! |

Is John doing solo material these days? I've not kept up with him, but I'm one of the few peeps who actually think that "Motley Crue S/T" was a great album.

John is doing the solo thing now. He's going to be releasing an acoustic album in the next couple of months. |
