Wow! I'd rather listen to Judas Priest's cover of Johnny B. Goode all day long than listen to that again. That was horrific! Shocked

No kidding. That's atrocious.

Then again - Grave Digger is one of the most overrated bands in metal. Very bland band. Not sure why so many people go crazy over them.

Oooh yeah, that Grave Digger cover of "We Rock" is frickin' laughable. When I play the HOLY DIO album it's the only song that makes me reach for the "skip" button.

Aw, ease up on Clay Sloopy. He's young.

He knows I'm only pulling his leg...... 'cause it was your leg, right? fainting

Bruce can barely rock New Jersey, much less the world.

I never could get into them for some reason. I tried. They just never clicked with me I guess.

I think it's the vocals.

Tarja's covers are horrible. Her original music is good though.

Funny thing is Thats how I feel about David Bowie, I am not a fan of most of the covers he's done but his own stuff rules

Pretty much any metal band that does a punk cover (especially The Ramone & Sex Pistols)

Case in point
G&R - The Spaghetti Incident
Metallica - Last Caress (Green Hell was allright)
Slayer - Undiputed Attitude

Although I do like Motorhead's version of "God Save The Queen", they get a pass

Since I just mentioned it in the Raven Discography Thread, how'bout their cover of "Gimme Some Lovin'?" Godawful atrocious!

I'm with Addy. I liked that GnR went that route instead of covering the old standards ("Oh boy, another Rolling Stones cover") Besides, this album tuned me into some punk bands that I knew nothing about and went looking for their stuff. Which is what all great covers albums should make you do.

Maybe it's because I was never really a fan of Guns 'n Roses or cover albums to begin with. I have yet to hear a cover album I can listen to all the way through, except for maybe Garage Days and that was an EP (even with thier goofy rendition of Last Caress)

I liked how they took a song from the 50s and made it sound modern, but there was some great covers
