| I have the double-disc version of I'm A Rebel and Breaker. I haven't listened to either one in a while. Usually when I'm in the mood for some Accept, I reach for Balls to the Wall. I guess I'll have to dust these 2 off and give 'em a fresh spin and see if I missed something. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| I don't own this album, yet. But I have heard it. As many have already written, this is when Accept became Accept. It's not my favorite album from these Germans, but it is still a good album. _________________ |

| I bet the chick on the cover is the same height as UDO They keep improvoing with each lp, which is what's supposed to happen. _________________ |

| RESTLESS AND WILD (1982) 1. FAST AS A SHARK 2. RESTLESS AND WILD 3. AHEAD OF THE PACK 4. SHAKE YOUR HEADS 5. NEON NIGHTS 6. GET READY 7. DEMON'S NIGHT 8. FLASH ROCKIN' MAN 9. DON'T GO STEALING MY SOUL AWAY 10. PRINCESS OF THE DAWN In 1982, heavy metal became mainstream in America. Quiet Riot would have the first number 1 heavy metal album ever a scant year later and it seemed like every metal band under the sun was being signed. In Germany, metal had been king for awhile thanks to the Scorpions and many of the up and coming speed metal scene. Another band that were finding their way were Accept. In fact, the band produced what most would consider their strongest effort....Restless and Wild. Restless and Wild still holds up 26 years later. The riffs are timeless, the songs unforgettable. This album has absolutely ZERO filler. From the balls to the wall power of "Fast As A Shark" (definitely the fastest song the band created up to this point), to the pure metal power of "Flash Rockin Man" (which HAD to have influenced Adrian Smith on Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" album), to the power metal ballad "Princess of Dawn", Accept lets everyone know they mean business. I will be surprised to see someone question the excellence of execution (Brett Hart) which is Accept's Restless and Wild album. If you haven't heard it, you owe it to yourself to pick it up! |

| This is a GREAT album! I didn't discover Accept until the album after R&W. I remember a friend in high school lending me the album and telling me what an awesome album it was. I would agree - starts off awesome and ends awesome. The album has ZERO filler as Brian said. Princess Of The Dawn is such a great album closer. What can I say that hasn't been said about this album? |

| Such a KILLER album, one of my personal faves of all time. The title track is my fave and the first 5 seconds of the song is, in all its simplicity, truly classic. Fast As A Shark & Princess are also my other 2 faves off this disc. I agree that there is no filler and is Accept's finest work. |

| Awesome. Simply awesome. Fast As A Shark might not have been the first Accept song I heard, but it was definitely the one that got me hooked. |

| One of the greatest heavy metal albums ever recorded! This was my first ACCEPT album. I was in high school when Restless & Wild came out and it consumed me like few other records.
Fast As a Shark was one of those early thrash songs that just blew me away. Many bands have covered the song over the years in tribute to the mighty Accept. The title track, Shake Your Heads, Neon Nights, Demon's Night, Princess of the Dawn, all brilliant! _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| This is an excellent album and holds up very well. Love every song on this album and I have to agree 'Fast as A Shark' has to be one of the earliest speed metal songs ever recorded. UDO sounds excellent and the first album where his vocals are spot on, where he has perfected his style. Also loved Wolf Hoffman's clean leads and solos, and needless to say my favorite Accept in their discography. |

| "Feeling the power of lost when the guy's passing by...Wrecking one's brain and I'm going insane don't know why"
BALLS TO THE WALL (1983) 1. Balls To The Wall 2. London Leather Boys 3. Fight It Back 4. Head Over Heels 5. Losing More Than You’ve Ever Had 6. Love Child 7. Turn Me On 8. Losers And Winners 9. Guardians Of The Night 10. Winterdreams
In 1983 Accept released what Martin Popoff has commented as "the best metal album of the 80's". I don't know about that, but I see why he would say that. The album has a sound that many other bands wouldn't achieve for a couple more years. "Balls To The Wall" takes the raw energy that was established with "Restless and Wild" and reigns it in just a bit, to make a more commercial album that can't be seen as a sellout. Not surprisingly, this is the album that broke the band in the States. Back in those days the music scene in America was actually important. The album starts out with what could be called Accept's signature song, "Balls To The Wall". A great song with a sing along chorus, that signals what will come later in the album. Enter "London Leatherboys". Not a personal favorite, but a strong, slightly homoerotic anthem. The remainder of side one is just as strong as the first 2 tracks. One wonders if this band would ever let up on the intensity. The album's second song about the ga-hey community, "Love Child" starts off the second side with a bang. Once again, tunes such as "Losers and Winners" (a personal favorite Accept track) and "Turn Me On" bash in your skull with intensive fire. The only song that kind of misses the mark for me is "Guardian of the Night". In fact, I forgot it was on this album until today. The metallic ballad "Winterdreams" finishes up the album nicely. All in all, "Balls To The Wall" is a perfect mix of the raw power of "Restless and Wild", and the more commercial appeal of "Metal Heart". This is an album I would recommend even to my grandma, if I could ever get her out of your bed. "BTTW" kicks arse! |

| Restless & Wild and Balls to the Wall are classic heavy metal platters, just like Metal Heart. Not a whole lot to say here I'm afraid. Ten out of ten albums! |

| Balls To The Wall was my first introduction to Accept and it is a classic album. It is up there with Restless & Wild (which is a little bit better). The production on this album is excellent and the best production Accept has ever had on an album up to this point - it sounds heavy, it sounds metallic, it sounds awesome. The album kicks off with the classic "Balls To The Wall" and is just awesome until the end. The cover could have been better - the balls in the guy's hand next to a wall, cool. The guy wearing bikini briefs on a cover of a metal album, not so cool. People have throught London Leatherboys is about the happy community, but I read that it's about bikers, just not the ones that hang out at the blue oyster. Love Child is about the ghey community, but so what, who cares the song still rocks. Awesome, awesome album and Accept's biggest hit. |

| Third classic in a row for Accept! This one gained them some radio play as well. The title track became the band's calling card. Unfortunately when a band has a song like that it tends to overshadow the rest of the record. In this case, the entire album is solid!
I thought this album would set Accept up to be as big as Priest, Maiden, Aerosmith, Sabbath, etc., headlining stadiums. Unfortunately despite the album selling well, it just didn't happen for them. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I have Restless & Wild and Ball to the Wall. Both get fairly frequent spins from me when I'm in the mood for Accept. That's pretty much all I have to say about those 2. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| BALLS TO THE WALL - what is there to say, really? It's a stone cold classic. Germanic heavy metal at its absolute purest.
This album also holds a special distinction in my life, as it was one of the last albums my Mom went and bought for me. I was about to turn 15 and asked for this (and the first W.A.S.P. album) for my birthday. I can only imagine what she must've thought when she went to the record store with my requests written down on a piece of paper, and then saw the covers of both of those albums. She also told me that when she brought them up to the counter, the clerk asked her, "Do you own a set of earplugs? You'd better get some."
When she gave me those two albums on the big day, she told me "From now on, you are on your OWN if you want to buy these things!", and at that moment I knew that I was truly a man. Thanks, Mom!! _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

I have some good memories from this album, so it was nice when I finally got it on CD. But time has played a little trick on me, and I have forgotten most of the tracks on this record. It's a classic piece of heavy metal, indeed, but there are actually more fillers than top notch songs here. The opener, "Fast As A Shark", is still a gigantic favorite, and the title track is great also, but then the album falls down a bit, in my eyes (or should I say ears). And it doesn't really pick up again, until the now newly discovered "Don't Go Stealing.....". Then again, what a finale we get in the awesome "Princess Of The Dawn"! But why on earth haven't they fixed the little mistake from the vinyl edition? The track still stops brutally, as the vinyl B-side ran out of wax! You would have thought they fixed this when they recorded it onto CD. Maybe it's the original tape that ran out, and the problem never was with the vinyl? Hope they have fixed it on the remastered series, because now I got to hunt for that one. Killer tracks: Fast As A Shark, Restless And Wild, Neon Nights, Princess Of The Dawn _________________ |

| Accept were on a roll in the early to mid-eighties, and here is another killer album from them. 'Balls To The Wall' is almost like the blueprint for German 80's metal. The album starts of with the classic title-track, and it doesn't really slow down after that. I don't care as much for the last 3 tracks, but the rest are all metal-history! The 2 extra tracks on this remastered edition are, as far as I can see, picked from the 'Kaizuko-Ban' EP. The live rendition of "Head Over Heals" is outstanding! A MUST! Killer tracks: Balls To The Wall, London Leatherboys, Head Over Heals, Love Child _________________ |
