We're having our first snow flurries of the season outside right now...gaaaaack! I'm not ready for this yet!! I still have leaves on the ground that have to be raked up!!

We had snow in early/mid-October, but it was gone as soon s it came. They are saying weæll get more tomorrow.

I sure hope we get snow here where I am after that long, hot, miserable summer we had here.

It snowed quite a bit last year, and hopefully it will again this year.

I cannot wait for SNOW! I am jealous of all who have had snow already this year, here in NE Missouri you just never know when the snow will arrive.

For about a 5 mile stretch on the highway, less than 5mph..... The wind was gusting 40 mph+ and with the snow...0 visability

Just got our first taste of snow this week for the new winter. Suppose to get some more this weekend into early next week.

We got a brief snow shower on Thanksgiving morning, but it melted away as quickly as it came. Giant flakes of snow.

My wife just texted me to say the local news sez that we may actually get cold enough this weekend to have an inch or two of snow on Saturday "in the higher elevations" (i.e. where I'm at). Say whaaaaaaaat?? Snow before Halloween? That's gotta be a first. All the leaves aren't even off the trees yet!

I heard the same thing for my neck of the woods. Not in the city (we'll just see rain), but the outter 'burbs and Pocono region could see some snow. Not sure that it will amount to anything though.

they are calling for wet snow late saturday. not much gonna land though...

I drove home in a mix of sleet & rain last night; that wasn't much fun. Some friends who live farther north than I do (Sussex County) reported some actual snow on their cars and lawns last night.

Then on my way to work this AM I stopped for gas and the car at the next pump had a coating of snow on the roof.

Well, this weekend's "Snowtober" storm was ... stupid.

We lost our power around 8 PM Saturday and as of this writing we still don't have it back. We borrowed my bro-in-law's generator so we can at least keep the heat on and the fridge running. It's not big enough to power the whole house so we're still getting by with candles & flashlights at night time. Power company sez worst case scenario we won't have power back till Friday but hopefully it'll be earlier.

Not only are my kids bummed that Halloween was pre-empted due to weather, but now both of them are coming down with colds from being in a cold house for the first day till we could get up to my bro-in-law's to borrow the "genny."

So yeah, I'm wearing a HUGE happy helmet right now... @#$%!!!

I don't have to shovel myself, but even when I did, I still liked winter more than summer, especially now because they are too humid and it gets worse every year.

Our electricity finally came back on around 4 PM today. Halle-freakin-lujah. Internet and cable TV are back up as well, kids go back to school tomorrow, everything is normal once again!!
