I have become very satisified with my abiltiy to copy certain drawings. Normally I'd post drawings in the deviant art website but I'm not sure if there would be any copyright disputes despite giving credit to the origional artists. Also it seems I can't get any comments on some of my drawings on that website (I get better responses from my fellow HoM members) due to the large number of proffessional artists on there. The ones that I've copied from other artists will have the origional artists work with it.


I did the copy with pencil and then put the image in my computer and used microsoft paint to trace my pencil using the curve function and then colored it in (don't do too much of that -paint is not a good drawing program.

I used my memory from copying Babs Bunny and created this husband & wife rabbit couple (took all of 10 minutes to draw)

This is my latest drawing and one I'm real proud of. I wanted to do a drawing that was my own and had no reference material used. I can only draw female characters with references (I can do them real well copying other's work but not on my own) so I drew a male character (I always drew them decently but never an anthro character). I thoughtit turned out real well especially since I did it in just over 5 minutes. Wasn't sure of how to color it because most cats have patterns in their fur and I'm not advanced enough to do that real well so I wanted a solid color. I didn't want to do black so I picked blue grey (I wanted a real color). While doing so I felt I might have made a mistake in the color but it turned out decent enough. I like the expression I made with the face and becaue of that he just seemed like a Justin (plus I always thought that was a cool name). Also because of my mani passion (music) I gave him a Savatage shirt.

I'll add more when I have more time. Most will be copies but I am using various reference material to create my own female anthro character (to act as either a wife or girlfriend to Justin Cat).

Definitely an improvement over some of your older stuff. The Justin dude *cough*fursona*cough* looks pretty cool.

Why are you drawing on school paper? Get yourself a drawing pad or sketch pad!

Couple things you can do to help with that. One, use a drawing paper that has a smooth surface...like rendering/marker paper (you can still use colored pencil to color on it). Comes in Large black pads. Second, if you are, do not use a regular #2 pencil....terrible for drawing and for coloring over. Get yourself some drawing pencils. And third, do you have a gray clay eraser? If not, get one. A must have for anybody that likes to draw with pencil. They really take up lead well, especially on the paper I mentioned.

You can find all this at a Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Aaron Brothers. And perhaps even find a date while your there.

If you already know all this and or have all this, then just ignore me...

I have some more copies I will post soon. One I did a while back and two recent ones.

BTW T-Roy, I still have them on notebook paper because I just find it easier to work with, it's the only paper I have with me at school, and I can't find any marker paper and nobody at the art stores has ever heard of it (I didn't remember the rendering part, but I didn't see any of that either-maybe it's a locational thing). Coloring over a #2 pencil is no problem because I trace over with sharpie and erase the pencil which gives me no problem with coloring.

Can you draw scenery like landscapes?
