Can you draw scenery like landscapes?

I wish I could but my drawing talents are limited to cartoons. My landscapes would probably look like a child's drawings if I were to attempt one. I do love to photogaph landscapes though, however there's not much to photograph around here unfortunatly.

Well, if I could find the spot at Grapevine Lake that I camped @ over 3 years ago I could have some real good pictures. There are also many camping areas that could give me some nice pictures as well but I just don't have the time to do so. What I'd really like to do is go visit Uvalde again. My grandmother used to live out there but after she passed away in around '97 that was the last time I was down there. Also the area near Kerville is very nice too. If I ever have a real vactation (one where I don't get sick during) I can do one of these things (or maybe both if I have the money). But that will probably have to wait til next year because when I'm done with school, summer will be drawing to a close and those are places best seen in the spring/summer time.

I will check this out -- I also draw. I've been drawing since the age of eight. I illustrated my first book. My artwork is more like the old Penny Dreadful magazines but it is all rough sketch type stuff. Then I would take a program like Paperport then make a negative out of it to make it resemble a chalk drawing. You any good at illustrating horror stories. My buddy from high school is a comic book artist and a d*mn good one too.

Copied from:

My copy abilities seem to be nonexistent at one point and miraculously reappear. Don't know why, sometimes I can do it and other times nothing works right. Of course I'm always doing revisions because I notice things that are off or feel the need to improve on something. Of course my copies never look completly like the originals (espeically when it comes to body parts like hands, my specialty lies in faces & heads (& to a lesser extent, hair). The true talent credits go to the orgional artists becuase they're the ones with the real talent (maybe if I had started several years ago I could have the ability to do origional work too) but I'm content with my abilities in copying. The last two origional drawings are done by an artist named Michelle Light.

One of my drawings (done before the last three up there) got mangled in my tool box and I was going to re-do it before posting anything up here but I figured get the rest out of the way now so I can study for a test and post it later. Here are some copies I've done as of late:

There is another one of the above which was altered in order to add my own touch to it. However because servimg is not working right, this is taking longer than expected and I'm getting tired. I will try to finish posting my stuff at a later date.

This is the one I altered to give it my own touch, the character at the bottom was soley my own creation:

I have located the one left in my toolbox and I am in the process of touching it up.

The Gadget one (the mouse) is not as good as the others however, it is my first attempt at drawing that particular character and I believe with practice future ones will be better. The Lola (rabbit) one is actually quite different than the one I was copying but I think it is still quite good and like all my copies gives it my own personal touch.
