Someone sent me a copy of "Screw It" by Danger Danger in the mail. I found this surprisingly enjoyable. I have the first Danger Danger album and it's ok. It's a bit too glossy and keyboard drenched. "Screw It", however, is a solid slab of heavy rock and roll. Anyone familiar?

I'm very familiar with the first two, my bro jammed Screw It! a lot... *sings Ain't No Business Like Monkey Business!*

Yeah You Want It! was a bit hilarious and ridiculous IMO. Gary, Nuno and Pat from Extreme were guest musicians on this album.

I met Ted Poley in a K-Mart once years ago. Nice guy, never liked the band at all though.

Was he setting up a lawn chair display for the summer clearance "Blue Light Special"?

Actually I was working there @ the time so I was probably the one setting up the Blue Light.

I am sure I have told this story here before, but what the hell MG, ya wanna hear it? Here it go. Back in my drunk & depressed "can't find a real job" post college days I was working at K-Mart in order to pay the billz and hatin' every minute of it. Being a non conformist rocker dude I always wore a Gene Simmons pin on my regulation K-Mart vest (which was in flagrant disregard for K-Mart's corporate dress code, but what the hell, that's the way I rolled back then.

So anyways, one day this rocker lookin' guy with long ass blonde hair comes walking down the aisle and sez to me "Hey, man, nice KISS pin." I recognized him cuz Ted's from the area and I had seen his post-D.D. band "Bone Machine" a few months previous (opening for a KISS tribute band at a local dive, if memory serves). So I sez "Thanks... hey, you're Ted, right?" His eyes lit up (He looked so pleased! Mind you this was in '93 or so, I guess it had been awhile since he'd been recognized in public) and he was like "YEAH! How you doin' man?", he shook my hand, we chit chatted about various bands for a minute or two and about how bad the current music scene sucked, and he went on his way and I went back to work. He was very cool, so I didn't have the heart to tell him "By the way, I thought Danger Danger sucked."

I remember their "Naughty Naughty" video on Headbanger's Ball. For the most part, their cheese factor is above my tolerance level.

I had the S/T on cassette back in H.S. and thought it was okay. I have recently (the last year or so) picked up the first 2 on CD and a live album to go with them on the cheap but haven't spun them since then. Peace.

Didn't care much for their albums. Saw them open for Faster Pu$$ycat once (Andy Timmons gave me his guitar pick at this show) and KISS once. They were a better live band than a recording band.

If you were using a scale of 1 to 1000 those ratings might be a little more accurate. Wink

Danger Danger makes Trixter sound like grindcore by comparison. Laughing very hard
