I like them too. River Songs is a great album. |
Yep. Easily their best. I'm impressed you know them Schlomo but I'm not surprised. You have some of the most diverse tastes of anyone I know. |

Toho is not kidding!!! I thought I had diverse taste in music but compared to our young Jedi I am nowhere as diverse as I once believed. |

| BADLEES are ok...they were from here, and so we were saturated with them, and I got burnt out on them quite quickly....same with LIVE...ugh!!! _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| Yeah for a time there, PA was a major hotbed for "alternative" bands. I like the first 2 Live albums but after that I think they just got too pretentious for their own good. I also think the Badlees were riding on the coattails of Hootie and the Blowfish back in the day. Still a good band but I doubt "River Songs" would have sold nearly as many copies as it did if H&theB hadn't broken big. Kinda the same sound IMO. |

| BTW, I think one of the best bands to come out of PA was The Hooters. I heard "All You Zombies" on WYSP back when I was a teenager and even then I knew this band would break big. |

| HOOTERS are great....and recently reformed, I think. Actually BADLEES were around for quite sometime...before HOOTIE broke....they released 'Riversongs" and it kinda fizzled then I think they reissued it after Hootie and that whole sound became popular.... LIVE.. I fully agree. Now what do we have....Shite like HALESTORM....Ugh!!! Wait, we did have BLOODHOUND GANG... _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| I absolutely LOVE late 70s/early 80s AOR Rock bands. Boston, Styx, TOTO, REO Speedwagon, and especially Journey (I even have Steve Perry's solo album). Lessee.....I'm not sure if its actually a guilty pleasure or not, but I also love Larry Norman. I'm esp. fond of "I Wish We'd All Been Ready", even if I'm not particularly fond of endtimes-related material. I like a bit of dcTalk as well. Lessee....I also have a thing for J-rock, especially visual kei bands like Malice Mizer and X Japan. |

I wouldn't say X are a guilty pleasure. I used to listen to them quite a big a couple of years big. The early stuff is great oldschool power/speed metal. |

I don't know if I would count him as a guilty pleasure since he is a talented songwriter. |

| The one that catches most people off guard is Hall And Oates. Damn catchy stuff. I grew up with Neil Diamond and now I like him, funny how that works. I love Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry is a genius. I went through a phase of liking groups like The Call, Bodeans, U2, Big Country and a few others of that ilk. Don't listen to them much now, other then U2 but if I hear a song I don't change it. |

| U2 and The Call are both two of my favorite bands. I just thought of a guilty pleasure for me. I normally don't like country, but I love John Denver. It might be childhood memories though. Plus I grew up in Colorado ... so I have a reason. Hahahah. |

| every once in a while there's a very mainstream rock song that somehow ends up being pretty awesome in some way (IMO)..notable examples:
Paramore - Crush Crush Crush Hoobastank - Crawling in the Dark |

Same here - I also like Fife & Drum music from America's Colonial period. And Weezer.

| Paramore? Sorry, all my "freinds" at school like them. To me it sounds like repetitive hogwash. And the new one Brick By Boring brick sounds exactly the same as the previous single Ignorance. |
