Put me down for The Dan too. I hated them when I was younger but as I've gotten older, wiser and more musically diverse, Steely Dan is one of my favorite non-hard music bands. I think their Citizen Dan box set made me a believer. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

There is hardly anything from that era I don't like (accept crap like B52s, Culture Club, etc.). Also: John Denver Gordon Lightfoot Neil Diamond Kenny Rogers Mowtown R&B Mac Davis Oldies (Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, Everly Brothers, Beach Boys, Ritchie Valens, The Byrds, etc.) Old Country (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Marty Robbins, Johnny Horton, etc.) I likes what I likes and could care less who knows. |

| I have a soft spot for early B-52s. Their music was a party standard during my college years. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

| I was "into" the B-52s back around 79-80. I liked "Private Idaho" from their 2nd album. I can't recall the name of it, but I seem to remember it was a red cover. My biggest guilty pleasure is probally DEVO. How can anyone forget those older DEVO classics like "Are We Not Men, We Are Devo", and "Mongoloid", "Satisfaction", and "Secret Agent Man". That was truly some weird sounding music at that time when I was used to hearing stuff like Foreigner, Styx, Boston, Bad Company, REO Speedwagan...etc... |

| *Casts Threadmancing Spell*I LOVE 80's music (synthesizers, etc), as well as some ambient electronica (e.g. Frank Klepacki) when I'm playing my hacking simulator. (In the field of metal) "Tough Guy" Hardcore/Metalcore in the vein of Hatebreed and Throwdown. I LOVE the breakdowns (basically when all the kiddo's swing their arms in every direction and act like Jet Li (minus the skill, talent, or discipline). Not really guilty about it tho |

Cool!! That's the stuff my dad used to listen to all the time. I always trip people out because I'm always name dropping since I grew up hearing it. Other folks, too: Charlie Pride Charlie Rich Hank Sr. George Jones Patsy Cline (of course, how can you not absolutely LOVE "Crazy") Tammy Wynette (George Jones ex wife if I remember correctly) Marty Robbins, etc |

Kewl, have you ever heard John Fogerty's 2 Blue Ridge Rangers albums, Chewie? They are covers of old Western tunes, the first one anyway, the second isn't as Western. The first one (at least the Western songs) is good and the second is kinda meh. |
