Any fans of this band? What are your thoughts about them?

Do you like them as much or even more than Brainstorm?


Personally, I prefer Brainstorm, but feel that anything Andy B. Franck is involved with rocks. So I really like Symphorce quite well.

I saw them live four years ago, together with Sonata Arctica and a very bad German or Finnish power metal band. Needless to say they were the best band on the bill. Haven't listened to them since though. That said, they were pretty good live.

Love Symphorce. I like them a lot more than what I've heard of Brainstorm. They seem to have more feeling behind the music to my ears.

I had Twice Second for a long time and didn't care for it. Then I discovered Brainstorm when Liquid Monster came out (I know; late to the party on that one). I loved them, and through checking them out further I discovered Andy was in Symphorce. So I dusted the CD off and gave it another go. I thought it was excellent. I'm not sure why it initially didn't click. Glad I gave it a second chance, though.

They sound a lot like Brainstorm. The singer even reminds me of a mix between Andy and Brainstorm's orginal singer. They rule.

I've had two Symphorce CDs -- TWICE SECOND and PHORCEFUL AHEAD. There were one or two tracks on each that I dug, but the rest just never grabbed me by the nards. So they've both been traded off (to people on this board, in fact).

I have heard very little of Brainstorm but what I have heard, I like better than Symphorce. I just have never gotten around to picking up any of their CDs.

Loves me some Symphorce. Have followed them since Sinctuary. But I prefer Brainstorm.

I dig Symphorce.Become Death is my favorite and probably their heaviest album.The others dont grab me like that one does.

I like both Symphorce and Brainstorm, but I by far prefer Symphorce. You guys that don't care for them based on Twice Second are missing the boat that is a weak album.

"Become Death" is indeed a quite awesome album!!!

i remember considering purchasing Godspeed on Ebay. after reading all the "Nevermore clone" reviews on MA, i decided against it. apparently though, everyone here is on board with them. perhaps i'll search around for them again.

I never have thought of them sounding like Nevermore either, but now that you mention it - I can see a bit of a comparison. I'd say Symphorce is a bit darker though.

I'm a fan of Nevermore, but IMHO - Symphorce is actually better.

Nevermore is more extreme in their style but sure, there are similarities.

Sound more like Sanctuary than Nevermore and that is still kinda/sorta stretchin' it. My .02

I've seen Symphorce described in a review as "Nevermore Lite"

I actually commented on the Nevermore comparison in my original post. But changed it before I hit send, as it is not fair to Symphorce to be called Nevermore lite.

Symphorce lyrics are far more darker than Brainstorms!

I really dig Symphorce, especially GODSPEED and PHORCEFUL AHEAD! I saw them play live on their Godspeed tour and they kicked butt!
