| The Music For Less closing down is now 50% new and 70% off used. First time I've seen the place that crowded in years. It depresses me going in there..... but not enough to not vulture in on some discs. It'll really hurt when they're gone and it leaves just one place locally to browse through CDs. Slayer - Show No Mercy For a dollar each David Lee Roth - Skyscraper Gene Loves Jezebel - Promise Echo And The Bunny Men - Heaven Up Here REM - Green (can't believe I've never had this on disc before. One of my favorite "memories" records. Every song is connected to times/places/people for me) From the .50 pile Sun Red Sun - s/t single disc only unfortunately Chameleons UK - Strange Times w/bonus album Jay Farrar - Live Ep (got this for the girlfriend who loves Wilco/Uncle Tupelo, only to discover that it sells for 40.00. Going on her ipod then right to ebay.)
From ebay managed to score Hexx - Morbid Reality for relatively cheap (and in excellent condition as described!). So another long-time want is obtained. Think I've lost out on that disc more times than any other. |

What happened to the third chick?

The one in the middle was my favorite. She the one with the dark hair on that new disc? I have no idea why I'm so interested in this, to be honest. Haha._________________ "Happy people have no stories" —Therapy? Shock Totem | The Eyesore Times | Getcha Rocks Off |

My opinion is that it's decent and shows a lot of promise. Some of the lyrics are really dumb but these kids definitely have talent. |

I saw them live last year, and let me tell ya - those kids can bring it! I have yet to pick up the album though. But I do plan on it sometime. |

I think that's an amazing DVD. Especially the Dark Side Of The Moon section. |

Sometimes, like with Black Tide, I think the members are just too young. I mean, they're release major label albums at a time when most musicians are jamming this sort of stuff in a garage. And they sound like kids. I think that's my biggest complaint. Musically, they're great, but the vocals are like a Disney special.
Anyway, I've seen that Crooked X disc for about $5. Is it worth that much?_________________ "Happy people have no stories" —Therapy? Shock Totem | The Eyesore Times | Getcha Rocks Off |

yep, so well done, and I'm not even that big of a 'Dark Side' fan.
I bought the thing for 'High Hopes' alone practically. And I love the Thorgerson/Hipgnosis art everywhere.
Now I just need the CD version, which I've been holding out on getting because I want the one with the blinking light. But I recently saw one used at FYE....$30, a battery, and I'll be good to go.. |
