Quite frankly I'd rather blow-torch my nipples off than listen to an album like AMOLAD (but worse by the sounds of it). It's not progressive or epic, it's just slow. Why can't they just do what Scorpions did, what they do best! More songs like The Wicker Man and less like For the Greater Good of God!

I love all the new Iron Maiden albums. Especially "Dance of Death".

I welcome another album in this mold!!!

And if choosing Dream Theater is any indication of the new album ... I'm all over it! I love Dream Theater!!!

Brave New World was the best, the other two got progressively worse. So the next one will be poop, at least my expectations are low, it might be good!

I hate to say it, but I agree with that statement. Maybe not "worse", but definately boring. I'm going into this next album with very low expectations.

A long time ago, I was on a Maiden forum and people were posting re-written lyrics of maiden songs with a funny yet sick twist. And that if I can recall correctly, was one of those lines. I can't find the entire lyrics, but from what I remember they were really funny.

The problem with AMOLD is that they didn't even master the album. So the sound is just crap on it. Steve's decision to do that was not very good, at least in my eyes. Shirley himself is a pretty good producer (not their best though) but that raw sound they tried to get by doing that backfired. It's a shame as there are some real good things going on with the album itself.

I agree as well. I love A Brave New World and enjoy most of Dance of Death but sadly I sold/traded my A Matter of Life and Death. It did nothing for me.

Before the tour starts in July, they will announce the cover and tracklist I think on the 10th of July, I'm not sure. The album, I read somewhere, was scheduled to be released in late August.

Does anyone think Maiden should re-work / re-record Virtual IX?

The album I think needs to be given a better chance. They've already shown the world how great this material can sound with the current line-up, I mean the Clansman is just amazing and Futureal w/ Bruce is also a good number.

But I think the whole album needs to be reworked - the songs have potential it's just that they seem a little incomplete at times.

Dude, for years I've been hailing "Dance of Death" as my all time favorite and best Iron Maiden album! I usually get mocked or jeered. Nice to know someone else recognizes it's greatness. Cheers mate!
