Crashing into a telephone pole on my ten-speed bike when the brakes crapped out on me rounding a curve....knocked me out cold. I was fifteen years old, I got my first ride in an ambulance, ended up with six stitches in my leg, three behind my ear and a nice collection of scratches on one side of my face.
