Interesting mix of songs. I'm wondering how this will sound vocally?

Any chance this will be a double-album? There are soo many good songs they could cover.

Stryper announced on their Facebook page today that the album's title will be "THE COVERING".

...woo, they must've sat up all night coming up with that one

Meh. As much as I like a good covers album, I can't seem to muster up any interest in this album. I'm not a Stryper fan per say, but I'd be willing to give this a shot if the track listing was of more interest to me.

Are they gonna put some sort of "Stryper-esque twist" to any of these tunes or are they just gonna be straight-up covers that you could hear at a bar on a Saturday night? If they are trying to use some sort of "shock factor" of a Christian band performing an Ozzy track to garner interest, it isn't working for me. I dunno?

The Covering is a killer title for a cover album.

I'm surprised no one has used it yet.

I think The Covering sounds a little goofy and made-up. Then again, there was a time when Stryper themselves were a little goofy & made-up, so I guess it works.

Despite the cheesy title, I'm looking forward to hearing this.

BTW as far as I remember there was relation between STRYPER and BLACK SABBATH.

I think STRYPER once bought the old BLACK SABBATH cross for their liveshows, do not real know if this story is true.

I don't think Iron Maiden tried to rip Stryper off.

A lot of riffs just sound similar.
