| What do you guys think of the self-titled album Coverdale and Page did? They certainly should have done another record, this one was rockin'... Coverdale's voice sounds great on this. |

| I checked out some samples years ago. Wasn't interesting to me.
There's a recent Coverdale interview out and he was asked if there would ever be a Coverdale/Page II. He was very respectful towards Page but said it wasn't a priority for him. Neither is any type of Deep Purple reunion. |

| I thougt it was awesome at the time, but having listened to it again recently, I'd bring that rating down a notch or 2. It's got some really great songs but a few missteps that haven't aged well, but overall it's an enjoyable listen. It was nice to see Jimmy Page rocking out again at the time. Don't know if it's worth those 2 getting back together again though. Maybe it's best to let that album be a one shot deal and don't to something to tarnish that memory. I picked up another copy over the weekend that's up for trade if anyone is interested. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| I love the album and felt it is very underrated gem. This was Jimmy Page's most inspired playing since Led Zeppelin's Presence album.
David Coverdale has also never sang better IMO, and I do wish the two had created more music together but too many years have gone by and like MG stated it is best to live this as a one shot deal.
I also have a bootleg DVD of their show in Japan and that is very sweet but a bit strange to hear Page play Whitesnake songs. |

| I thought it was fantastic back in the day. I sold it in the Air Force, picked it up again a few years ago. Still fantastic. _________________ "Happy people have no stories" —Therapy? Shock Totem | The Eyesore Times | Getcha Rocks Off |

| I still have this on cassette from back in the day. Have never gotten round to upgrading to CD. I recall diggin' it back when it was a new release but I haven't listened to it in ages. Did they ever tour for this album back then? I seem to remember Coverdale and/or Page saying they didn't want to tour the U.S. because they would've been doing the small clubs/theatres instead of the Enormo-Domes they were accustomed to. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

They had atour of Japan and then they called it a day. The album was success but they just was not a huge demand to see them on tour on our side of the pond. |

| I picked it up a used copy a few years back because it was only $1. As I listened to in on the car on the way home I realized I had been cheated about 99 cents. |

I can't believe you feel that way about this album, Jimmy Page has played this good in ages at the time of this album's release. 'Whisper a Prayer for the Dying' and 'Absolution Blues' alone make this a worth entry into both men's discogrpahy |

His guitar works was great, that was not the problem for me. I just found the music itself to be sort of uninspired. Not really any sparks for me off of this one. |
