1. I agree that they are underrated. But I prefer Megadeth's last three albums to any Laaz Rockit album.
2. I also prefer Death Angel over Slayer. I've never heard of Vio-Lence.
3. No. Diabolus in Musica is the worst Slayer album.
4. I agree that both Tony Iommi and Glenn Tipton are better guitar players than Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Disagree about Criss Oliva also being better.
5. No. Metallica is better.
6. Overrated? Yes. But I prefer the first 4 albums over Physical Graffiti.
7. I'm not a fan of Poison.
8. Agreed. Judas Priest and Black Sabbath are two of my favourite bands.
9. I agree, Kirk Hammet is overrated. I disagree with his guitar playing being "crap" compared to Dave Mustaine.
10. Unsure.
11. Disagree. Risk is terrible and deserves all the criticism it gets.
12. Agree.
13. I'm not a huge fan of the band.
14. I disagree completely.
15. Dimebag is definitely not overrated. In fact, I'd say he's a fairly underrated guitarist. Few people outside of the metal world know who he is.
16. Disagree.
17. Sorry, but no. I prefer 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath', 'Mob Rules' and 'Headless Cross' to 'The Eternal Idol'.
18. Most people have never heard of Helloween, so I wouldn't say they are overrated.
19. You're saying Krokus is better band than 3 out of the 15 (internationally released) AC/DC albums? This doesn't make any sense.
20. They're two of my favourite Overkill albums, but I also really like W.F.O. and Ironbound.
21. No idea. I've never heard of Artch.
22. Maybe.
23. Machine Head isn't a band I really listen to, and I've never heard of Grip Inc.
24. No.

23. Grip Inc is better than Machine Head
24. Prong's Cleansing is better than Reinventing the Steel, half of Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven by Pantera

1. No
2. No
3. Hell No
4. Just cause a guy can play really, really fast (Oliva) doesn't mean he has greater significance than Clapton and Hendrix
5. NO
6. Part 1: No. Part 2: That's a close call.
7. Everything they did sucks
8. No
9. He is overrated, but he is still a good guitarist.
10. AGREED!!! Chris is Megadeth's best lead guitarist. Dave is the best all-round guitarist.
11. Agreed
12. A bit overrated, but still great.
13. No opinion
14. No.
15. ??
16. No, but that's not the crazy of an opinion.
17. No
18. No
19. No
20. No
21. No
22. No
23. Sure, why not.
24. Vulgar Display Of Power is awesome. After that, it went downhill. Partially agree.

No I am not. I really mean what I said I am aware no one else will agree with me on that one. If Wrathchild America got the recognition they deserved and were more popular than MetallicA you wouldn't be asking me if I am on drugs.

I truly think Wrathchild America's 3D is better than MetallicA except MOP and RTL and on the same level of ...And Justice For All.

I also it's better than Kill em All in a small margin even though undoutably Kill em All had a stronger infuence on heavy metal than 3D ever did and is a classic album but 3D is more melodic and got more depth than kill em All reason why I think it's better.

You misread what I said about comparing Laaz Rockit I said Laaz Rockit are better than Megadeth's albums with David Ellefson on them after Rust in Peace

2. I've never heard of Vio-Lence.
You should they are Robb Flynn's band before he joined Machine Head
get Eternal Nightmare and Oppressing the Masses.

7. I'm not a fan of Poison.
Native Tongue is the for those who don't like Poison album they have Ritchie Kotzen who puts CC Deville to shame

Disagree with you on that one a majority of the metalcore filth you get today are putting him on a pedestal and ripping off his riffs. Also that Pantera concert I attended back in 2001 nearly sold out and it was in one of the most well known venues in my city.

I am saying that Krokus have better albums (except Change of Address, Stampede, Heart Attack, The Blitz and albums from the pre Marc Storace period) than Brian johnson era AC/DC (except albums like BIB, For those About to Rock, Fly on the Wall, Razors Edge and Black ice)

I am surprised there isn't a few who agree with me that Laaz Rockit is better than Anthrax. I think they are better than Anthrax because I always thought they sound like Anthrax on steroids they got more energetic intense riffs, the vocalist has got way more aggression and intensity in his voice than Joey Belladonna does and their lyrics are not so annoyingly goofy like some of Anthrax's lyrics for a start they don't childishly say words backwards like nicef*&kinglife. But on the other hand Joey Belladonna has got more charisma in his voice than the singer in Laaz Rockit though. But the chemistry in Laaz Rockit is better than it was with John Bush with Anthrax what I mean is sure John Bush who IMO is nearly on the same level as Ronnie James Dio and Rob Halford when it comes to his voice but the singer from Laaz Rockit fits better in his band than John Bush does with Anthrax. He needs to GO BACK to Armored Saint where the chemistry is alot stronger in that band

One thing I am sick is how every once in awhile some smart ass comes up with a list and then makes a statement about how (insert name of guitarist here) is better than Hendrix! You have right to believe that and to your opinion, opinions are subjective.

Iommi, while not directly influenced by Hendrix, he was inspired to play his right handed guitar and restring it and play it left handed, also he was a fan, both Tipton and Downing have always named check Hendrix as an influence.

I was lucky enough to meet some of the Savatage guys when I was a teenager, and trust me, they were both Hendrix fans.

Hendrix's career lasted only 3 years (1967-1970) and alot of the music that we all love would have been significantly different if he had not been around, the impact he made on guitar playing and rock music is almost immeasurebale.

Ok I am done with my rant thank you for listening.

I'm more of a Clapton fan but i definately know without a doubt that Hendrix was a BIG influence on hard rock/metal and most guitarists from the late 60's and beyond.

If Wrathchild America were better then maybe they'd get more attention. I realize not all great bands got a lot of notice but these guys were mediocre. IMO of course.

as ultmetal correctly said album sales of a band does not equal talent
here is some reference http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/hallofshame.htm and scroll down where some nutcase pays out ultmetal for paying out Def leppard

Undoubtably hendrix had a stronger influence on metal and music but I just think Criss Oliva's playing is alot deeper, more melodic and isn't so messy like Hendrix's part of the reason why I am comparing Criss Oliva to Hendrix is I am sick and tired of Rolling Stone and all those guitar magazines putting him on a pedestal and not giving Criss Oliva any credit. It wouldn't all surprise me if Savatage was inspired by hendrix they were influenced by alot of artists from the 60s such as the beatles. As I said I am not surprised that no one agrees with me on this one.

fingers, I never agree with Rolling Stone on just about anything, but they are not only ones who put Hendrix on a pedestal, as you mentioned other Guitar magazines do also ( actually he is this month's coverboy for Guitar World), fellow musicians and me. While you hear messy playing I hear beautiful sculptured music.

As far as Criss Oliva, you are correct he was and remains an underrated player, his sense of melody and his solos where almost mini suites. He was underrated in his lifetime and it was not til the last couple of years that guitar magazines have began to talk him and write an articles on him, Oliva is missed.

Hendrix? Messy? I wouldn't it messy - is he sloppy at times? yes, but it is part of his charm and adds character to his music. I like players with technical expertise but I also like those that play with FEEL, like Hendrix and Ace.

Olivia is criminally underrated. Savatage should have beeen much bigger than they are/ Maybe it was the name - look at TSO, which is basically Savatage now, and who big they are

Ye true it does but still IMO he overdoes it abit but I do dig messiness in music if it's done in a certain way for instance alot of people bag out Kyuss's album Wretch for it's "crap" dirty production but I think it brings out the charm for the album and it's Kyuss's best album after blues for the red sun
