| Very nicely done, Frodrick. While my Raven discograpgy is severly limited to their first 3 albums, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about their other quality albums, sadly knowing that I'lll probably never own them. Good job. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| I have Rock Until You Drop, Wiped Out, and All For One. I can't comment on the later albums but, of those three, All For One is my favorite. |

| I finally bought a copy of 'Waking Through Fire' and it was like time stood still, this album is a kick ass Raven album, the album I have had a cover tune of the Montrose classic ' Space Station No. 5' and the couple of live tracks thrown in, this album should be getting alot of spins in my household |

I was surprised to see a copy of that album in FYE the other night (and for $9.99 to boot). Nice to see them get some regular distributation. I thought about picking it up, but decided against it for now. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

I love the cover of "Space Station #5," I was scrolling thru the available tunes on the music player thingy for my cell phone the other day and was surprised to find the entire WALK THROUGH FIRE album in there, I almost bought "Space Station #5" to use as a ringtone

To the best of my knowledge, the original Atlantic releases were on vinyl and cassette only back in the day. (At that time, CDs were still a fairly newfangled commodity and labels were saving them for their best selling, established artists, not second and third tier newcomers.) As far as I know, they were never released on CD till Mayhem Records reissued them in the late 90s.
In other words, if'n Atlantic label CDs of those albums do exist, I ain't never see'd none of'em... _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

Those are the same three that I own and they are all great!! I did listen to Stay Hard a while ago and it actually turned out to be pretty good, not quite as bad as some people make it out to be, although I still haven't bought it. My favorite Raven album is Wiped Out, but my favorite Raven song is from AFO (it's "Run Silent Run Deep"). Sometimes my favorite song by a band changes over time, or I have a few favorites and it's hard to pick just one, but as far as I recall "Run Silent Run Deep" has basically been my favorite Raven song since I first bought AFO, but there have certainly been other songs competing with it!
They are by far one of the best NWOBHM bands ever, they're so talented and they play with a lot of heart, too! |
