Have you ever saw Exodus live with Rob Dukes? That is the question.
No one I know who has witnessed a live performance of Exodus fronted by Dukes - has ever denied he's the man for the job. He fits like a glove where Gary Holt is right now. Even Souza was out of place.
Exodus with Dukes at this point is what is invigorating the band ... and even splashing over into a somewhat stale thrash scene and cleaning it up.
The past few Exodus albums with Dukes at the helm have all run circles over this little boy thrash that's been coming out lately. That stuff is all programmed and carbon copied for the most part.
Exodus (along with Testament, Sodom, Overkill, Kreator and Slayer) are once again leading the charge in this here third wave of thrash metal. |
