Whew, had to call in sick the next day. I'm finally recovered!
My buddies and I got to the venue about 45 minutes early. Perfect amount of time to eat some food and put down a coup.....okay several beers! The first band was Lightning Swords of Death. I guess the best way to describe these guys is blackened/death. Didn't really get into this band, so that's all I have to say about them. The second band was Evile, and I was excited to see these guys and apparently others were too. There was a good amount of people there to see them and the lead singer made mention of it to us. It was good to see people out supporting a newer band. Let's keep this thing going people!
The bummer about 4 bands playing was the first two bands only got to play 5 songs, but Evile ripped through everyone of them:

They certainly got the crowd going and 3 of my friends had never heard them, but said they were going to check them out now. So there you go!
Kataklysm came out next and they also put on a good show. I had heard of these guys but never heard anything by them. I wish I had because I enjoyed hearing them live. Oh well, another band to add to an already too long wishlist. Sorry, no setlist!
Kreator's is up next!!! This was about my 4th or 5th time seeing them, and as usual they put on a killer show. You have to see these guys live because they won't dissappoint. The place was full of cool people, and a good amount of hot chicks to look at too!

Pretty nice selection there, however here comes my minor gripe. Since it was Kreator's 25th anniversary tour, I figured they would pull out more older songs. I guess that's the problem you have when you have 25 years of material that you can only cover in 90 or so minutes! I just think that maybe they could have scrapped Phobia and only have done two songs off the new record, and then throw in another song off of Terrible Certainty and Extreme Aggression. Of course, you can't make everyone happy!
I had never heard Pestilence, Endless Pain, or When the Sun Burns Red live, so this was a treat!! Three great songs that sounded awesome live! I left there in a good mood!!
