| I'm gonna blunt with you guys: I don't really buy a whole lot of DVDs anymore. I used to work at a video store and was always getting great deals ordering OOP stuff from our vendor at ridiculous prices far below retail. That's how I built my collection but I've cooled my heels in the last 5 years or so. With Netflix, I have no need to buy movies. I just don't feel like I "need" to own new releases. I can't remember the last time I bought a movie but I am a very casual purchaser of TV shows on DVD. Mostly cartoons I grew up loving. | Leatherface wrote: | Near Dark The Monster Squad Zombie Planet |

| I never buy new releases. New blu-rays are £16 on release, rip-off, and dvds aren't much cheaper. I've been buying up a load of older films for between £1 or £2, they're used, but it's still a bargain. |

| I don't buy a whole lot of DVDs either.
I spend most of my fun money on CDs instead.
I also use Netflix, so there is not a need to own most stuff.
However, those movies that are top tier for me I will buy.
I also buy my son lots of movies for him (that I also enjoy).
And I buy TV shows. But only:
CSI (all of them) X-Files Criminal Minds Smallville Little House on the Prairie
and a few more I'm forgetting right now. |

It's a little indie flick that was actually shot in my homestate. One of those SOV films and was directed by this guy named George Bonilla. Just one of those zombies-taking-over-the-world movies, I guess. I bought it at a horror convention I went to recently. I haven't watched it yet, so I can't say if it's any good or not. |

Well hurry up and watch it already so the rest of us zombie movie fans know whether to pick it up or not. |

| C'mon guys. Don't you think Zombies are overrated? Pumkinhead. Now I can get that. But some of those zombie movies are just a dime a dozen cookie cutter typical slaughter stuff. I guess that's the real reason I can't get too into horror. It's too fake and overrated. |

Exactly the response I'd expect from a fan of the Twilight series. Talk about overrated... |

| Twilight should never be mentioned here again. As for zombie films, I don't like horror films at all, I do like Shaun of the Dead however |

| And I can understand why people who are not at all romantic would hate Twilight. They are romance movies. Me, I've always been a bit of a 'ladies' man myself. But yeah, people who don't even date other people wouldn't be much interested. I can see that. |

| I love zombie movies but there is an awful lot of garbage out there since 28 Days and the Dawn of the Dead remake made them popular again. For recent zombie flicks, anything new by Romero, the Dawn remake, Shaun of the Dead and the 28 movies get a pass from me. Most everything else looks/is terrible. Go to Netflix and look at that stuff. Just awful cheap looking movies.
Flight of the Dead was a decent though but nothing truly noteworthy. There was also some movie about high schoolers. I think it was a prom, came out in the last few years. That was a decent horror comedy.
I was told 2003's Undead was really good but I bought it and it's pretty boring. Never finished it.
I have Zombieland here from Netflix, haven't watched it yet, but it looks like it's gonna be good. |

| Undead is weird. It tried to mix zombies with aliens. I'll give the filmmakers credit for pulling off the movie with such a small budget, but it just seemed to be lacking something. |
